Jagged Band sells for 4 plat 2 gold 8 silver 6 copper when offered to Sateal Deirosap vendor in the bazaar by level 2 human monk with 143 cha... Current bazaar price unavailable....
The moonstone ring is not better, it is different,if you want Mana and Strength, then the Moonstone ring is better, but it also does not have any AC bonuses that the jagged band has,the Moonstone ring also tends to be a little moe expensive because of the mana bonus of +30.

I Camped Garanel the other night with a lvl 42ranger friend, WE KICKED BUTT, got about 4 or 5 Bands and the boots, I am going to camp him for the boots again soon Tazain Blackmontain <Dream Travelers> Ranger of Tunare, 28seasons ...Torvonnilous
Went to Unrest the other night while waiting to get a port off Faydwer, since stupid boats weren't working. After buffing a few newbs decided to go take some light blue hags for some fun! After clearing the entire basement, i came across the ghost room. OH! DWB? Cool. Decided. I am camping Gargamel or whatever his name is.
After killing him once with no boots (but 2 rings!) A couple guildies got bored and ported to BB to come join the party. Well, to make a long story short, we pissed off a couple people from another guild, (by getting wolf form and humping on them) and killed the ghost a total of 4 times. No boots, but all 3 of us got 2 jaggeds a piece, all going to our alts...lol
These are used by people into their 50s on mith marr. I'm using them at 31. And, for every 10 strength you have, you get an additional 7 to your attack.
I like these better than those overrated 6ac 65 hp rings. On a good day in the bazaar you can get these for 15pp. On a good day you could get 'those other rings' for 400pp. I'll take these easily for the price. Only time I replace them is if I have a hyprid, then I'll go for the spiked goblin ring (ac & wis etc) or the ring of the goblin lords (ac & int etc).

Actually, its not lvl dependant i think. You got defense skill to calculate your AC. At higher lvls, even though it says an item has 5ac, you actually get more ac when you put it on. I believe it has to do with your defense skill.. The higher defense, the higher ac you get from an item, kinda like a bonus. With o defense skill (lvl 1), you would get the usual 5 ac from this item. at lvl60 and ahving 250 defense, would give you more i take it. Not at all sure of this, being a druid, so not really sure...
AGI will also add to your AC at higher levels. I started noticing this around 30-40. Since I'm a rogue and don't take many hits when the tanks are taunting, I swap out AC items for STR and DEX since rogues are damage dealers.
Yes, that is how it works. Class is also calculated into it too, warriors will yield the most, while casters on the other hand...... well they don't get much.
I think I read somewhere that the amount of AC you get from 1 point of item AC is dependant on level. At higher levels you supposedly get more of a bonus. I could be wrong.
Dwarf ghost spawns in basement of Unrest manor. Not really a hard place to hold once a good group clears out the place, though the hags and terrors can be a hassle, hags nuking like mad and the terrors blasting you backwards. From what I understand drops Jagged Band (sells for around 50pp or so) as common drop, as the rare drop Dwarven Work Boots, heard they drop for around 800pp, might be an old price though. Wouldn't recommend going that far into the basement in a group with less than five people, even then reasonably balanced and with high twenties and low thirties. Hope this helps
You will notice when you equip any item with AC on it, you get more AC in your stats than the item itself shows. I think the conversion is 1.7AC added to stats for each AC the item has. Also each STR you add also results in an equal amount of ATK increase. So if you equip a 6 STR item your ATK will be increased by 6.

Someone sold their's to a merchant in Qeynos, and I bought mine there. So a big thank you to whoever sold it. My char is in the teens so it can't take out the dudes who drop this stuff, but it CAN afford to buy them off of the folks who can take them down.
