IMHO This bow walks all over a BFT. It's 2 points less delay, it has a nice AC Debuff proc, the stats are way better then a BFT, and it's not Tunare dependant. Only thing BFT has over this is 250 range, where as this bow has 190...So? Big deal. If your a Ranger, snatch this bow up! =)

hey how many innovative clockwork bolts and gears are required to make 1 cam? and at what tinker skill lvl does the cam become trivial?

as it states in the recipe up top, 1 bolt and 1 gear per cam. however 2 cams are needed. so you need 2 bolts and 2 gears for 1 bow. the combine is trivial around lvl 200 tinkering.

It procs for me at 56, so it should start procing at 46. It proced when a person hit me in arena, i didnt hit him with the bow or blades...Too bad it not same range as BFT =)

Got one today as of 10/27/02.
Currently level 53, the proc does work (poor bat... *grin*) It is a lifetap of 12ac as in you and warrior fought, both with 1k ac. You proc bow, you have 1012 he has 988. That's how it works, if someone already said this oh well I'm saying it again =). Thanks for selling me this great bow Maena!

OK.... here's the deal. I have tested this out in various places. The proc is typically about 13ac BUT I have reached over 1000ac so I get penalised unless I take some AC off... Yes I am a ranger with over 1000ac (with buffs). Anyway, when I take off some AC gear to get the full value of the proc, it is about 13ac I believe... I will be continuing testing and posting... Anyway, as a lvl 53 ranger, I have had this proc resisted ONCE, and I proc a lot when I try. The proc was resisted in Velketor's Labrynth on a spider. I have yet to venture in the the raid situation, though am planning on doing so this weekend. It all depends on homework and guild. Anyway, on a side note it does not show that the AC is nerfed but I have asked a level 61 friend to tell me how much AC it gave him. (He still doesn't belive that I have this lol) He said it shows him 5ac but I only see 4. This is because they do not show the max AC. And if you have the money for this bow, I recommend you use it because yes the Velium ones may be cheaper, but look at the range and stats you get. Well worth it. That's my 2 cents anyway, will keep you all updated. Also even though I do not get full damage, this is a HUGE upgrade from Bow of the Huntsman. May not seem like it but it is. Get one and you'll know. OK maybe it's 3cents after that. Oh well there ya go hope it helps...

being a halfling ranger i cant use a BFT, so i just bought one of these. apparently the just 4th one to be made on my server (fennin ro). yes, it rocks, not cause of the delay so much, but cause of the stats. the +25 hp gives me more than the 5 or 6 sta on my old range item, so i can just leave this thing on and not swap, plus its got the same ac...bonus!!! havent gotten it to proc yet, but ive only shot it 18 times in the arena so far =P, plus it may not proc till the required lvl of 61...if anyone can verify the proc lvl id appreciate it.

got 1 today as of 11/16/02 im a lvl 52 half-elf ranger and so far, its proced about 10-15 times out of about 3 or 4 backpack full of arrows (shooting this is way more fun than just hack an slash :-) my best crit so far is 178 with it and regularly get double dmg regular shots for 100-115ish, hope this helps
This is a very uber bow at that, but now that that's out of the way i notice a distinct lack of wisdom, i mean maybe it's not a huge thing but it gives int and sks aren't the masters of archery . . .

Umm, the reason it's not lore is that it's a crafted item.
Making a CRAFTED item lore would be frustrating to crafters because they could only make and / or sell one at a time.....

Rallic Pack is LORE, and yes it's VERY annoying. I had all the components for the combine poof on me once.
though i am not a farmer of anything i see that there is potential in this seeing how it is not lore and not nodrop and i am sure that there are 46+ players that dont fletch or cant get the items cos of no PoP yet so i wouldnt be suprised to see this appearing in the bazaar in the near future

I made this bow. Level 61 Ranger. That is exactly as the item appeared to me in game the day I took the screenshot. Since then, the damage bonus field has been added. Damage bonus shows as 12 at level 61. I will send in an updated screenshot.
The wax is purchased at the bow materials vendor in Plane of Knowledge. The same vendor which sells the Planar Fletching Kit. It looks like a stackable pink ore.

This meens that you cannot use the effect, and the stats of the uber bow until 61.

Stats are slightly reduced until level 61 correct, as for not being able to proc this bow until 61, you are incorrect. Bow procs at 46. I have one.
Don't own one }yet{ but I would assume like any other recommended item that the stats would be decreased for lower than 61. And the proc doesn't start to happen til 46, it's required level.
Maybe I am wrong, but can't others below most recommended items levels use it with a decrease in value?

Damage bonus is *not* fixed for a weapon. It is based on the level and class of the person weilding it. If you want to prove this, have a 60 warrior go pick up a rusty dagger. The damage bonus (when held in primary) will be 11 (if I'm remembering my 60 WAR dmg bonus correctly).

ytes, but the person holding it doesnt have any reduced stats so he is obviously 61 or higher. So there SHOULD be a dmg bonus on it then.
Please notice that this Bow is not NO DROP.
So, the reason you still see no DMG Banus on it, even thought the stats are not reduced, is prolly because a caster (non melee) had made the item in hopes for selling/trading/friend, whatever.

Ok ok, this is funny now. (off topic) This reminded me of those speed limit signs on the 4 lane interstate. There's a speed limit of 70, speed minimum of 40. LOL. But really, considering this isn't a "cultural bow" like the faydark thunderbolt, it's really nice. I have a half elf ranger. Glad I have something to look forward to making again.

Recommended level of 61, but required level of only 46? Does that mean you have to be level 46 to even equip it, but you won't see the full stats of the item until you reach level 61?

Yep... can equip at 46. If you are not of the recommended level, however, you will see stats next to the ones on the item written in red, which are the stats that the item is currently giving you.

And not to mention you don't have to spend countless hours gathering materials for a BFT. You can do it while you hunt in PoN, therefore gaining EXP at the same time as spending countless hours gathering materials for this bow. *shifts eyes around* Does anyone see a pattern in Everquest involving countless hours? *Is shot by Saddam Hussien* "That'll teach ya to discover our conspiracies, stupid american." /sarcasm off -- It's tiny but looks really really cool, heck I'd use it for a H2H weapon if they'd let me... My brother who got this bow for a whopping... 4K!!! gets billions of inspects and brings it out as the main weapon graphic just so all the uber people will invite him to their groups.
