Don't know if this has been covered, but you can fall to the ground with this ring. Has only happened once in about 20 uses, but it can happen. Be aware.

Make sure if you use this ring to use it near some soft ground. Monks have broken hips many times.

Still do able. I know I am a slacker but got it today.
I did it with my two alts and mercs. Left druid on bee island to hail and I and monk were in room. Took me 12 kills to get ring drop and monk lived thru DT 50% of the time with full buffs, growth, and epic clicked. Only reason I say he live is it does save time if you are boxing this quest.
The long hard part was getting my two alts keyed for all the islands.

Just wanted to post that indeed this item is still obtainable. I just finished it 1 / 10 / 11.
the Emerald Feather is the easiest drop to get by far.
The Ring took about 30 spawns of the Sister.
The rarest one for me was the Bixxie Essence as it only appears to drop off of the Tiny bixxie bee Bzzzt.
She will only spawn from the bee closest to the gear, in the center. She is the one you kill right before the DTing boss bee spawns.
[EDIT] ANY of the bees can drop the essence. I had 2 drop today 6/1/11 off random trash spawns...
Little note.
This is indeed instant FD and I have yet to have it fail.
This IS rechargable as people have stated before but, The Box you get in PoSky is LORE and gets consumed in the recharge.
No big deal as it's only a plat but you cant stock up on them so you have to go to the plane to get another after recharging. I always carry one on me with a full charged ring. Giving me 4 FD's before I have to return to Sky.

Great item and not so much to avoid real death, since death in EQ isn't such a big deal anymore. It's great because shamans can rez. Trying to get a group to a real tough camp deep inside a zone... cleric casts DA on the shaman, shaman drags a mage to the camp spot. Feign off any mobs, clear aggro, stand and rez the mage. CoH rest of the group.
If no mage, shaman drags 2 corpses, rezzes them both and lays down campfire.
This ring is invaluable for the same reason that guilds used to pay 1million pp (back when 1million pp was real money!) for that 10-charge rez stick. We'd keep it as a guild asset and loan it to a monk who would do the same kind of thing.
The only class that can innately do this is the necro and since their feign is a spell and not strictly speaking insta-cast, there's a significant chance of failure with necros. At least I seem to remember more than one occasion where an entire raid got delayed because of a necro's FD spell failing during such a situation.
There should be a quest for a monk to get a rez-ring with 2 charges!
That's one thing I love about EQ... these obscure "out of nowhere" quests which most people don't know about. I knew about this one but totally forgot it until I noticed a reference to it in a "druid vs shaman" post somewhere. Yeah, I wish my druid could get a rez-ring or a FD-ring...

set a fire on bee island.. dont kill them unless u need a key ... go upto next island and kill all the drakes... we killed all the big bird mobs on the tempo.. and yes they all dt.. so use exp recovery... then go inside tempo and look up and kill the 5-8 little yellow bixxi looking things.. then take fire down the bee island... kill all the bees and the main one (he dt's)... leave one person or alt down on the bee island to talk to the little guy to spawn the sister... u need to say... llaw eht eno ma i ..... yes just like that to spawn the sister... the rest go up and stand on ramp on the next island... spawn it someone will need to tag and take dt.. second life saved me a couple of times.. dont bother looting your corpse... get a rez spawn it again... and again.. u are on a timer and will only spawn it about 10-20 times in that 5 mins or so.. then the little guy on the island below will despawn...
but before u spawn it again... have a monk or bard train the NEW little guy off that will spawn in the tempo where the sister was... if u dont he will argo u...
we did this today and killed it 15 times about.. and no ring dropped..

there was 3 of u us just eating the dt to rapid spawn it today... we had about 30 kills and one ring dropped...
the turn in mob... u will have to get another port up... then u buy the key Veeshan's Key from the same guy u buy the first 2 from... and yes the veeshan key is DIFFERENT from the one u get on the last island... hold it in your cursor and go click all the portal things untill one take u to a room with 20 task givers in it... go in and turn right u will find Medicine Man Veetra is up, you say "I choose Ooga" to get the actual quest mob to spawn. once u say that he will give u a book.. give it back to him for ooga to spawn... then turn the 3 items in .. thats it ..
make sure u buy the box from the key guy also and some class 5 bat for recharging... not sure if u need a box each time or if that one will be saved after each charging...

Tooper and I have been clearing the PoSky zone getting keys and other various quest parts. Pain in the *** I must say but the quest rewards are well worth it.

Gazz been selling this for a while now for 1.5 million plat. Nice item, hope the mana batteries in sky are not lore, otherwise this would be a small pain to recharge.
Mana batteries are not lore, but the pain is the Box of the Void is. This is the box you combine the used up ring and the batterie. So recharging it can be costly, 50pp for the batterie, 105 pp for he port to sky stone, and how ever much you tipt a wizard have his buffs striped.
Combine this with the Shaman half-rez AA at Levle 70? .... Raid saver....

A nice ring for shamans, with an incredible effect, but only 2 charges? Might as well not have an effect at all.

You can recharge it using the mana batteries sold in Sky. Its not meant to be used as much as monks/sk/necros use it. Its nice in a big emergency.
hmm are u saying that other items can be recharged with mana batteries also ?
Or just these quest ites with specific mana batteries
ie gnomes can tinker mana batteres~ components sold in iceclad iglos

It, and other items form PoS (an perfect name for the zone), can indeed be recharged. I have the mantle and have recharged it. The mantle's effect is kinda nice in emergencies as well. I have used it to keep a mob busy while I made an escape.
