Right, which is what our information shows for this item. It's summoned by an enchanter by casting their mass/enchant clay spell on the blocks of magic clay.
The info SHOULD say that It's summoned by an enchanter by casting their mass/enchant clay spell on the large block of clay (NOT magic clay). Enchanting it makes it magic, it doesn't start that way.

Where do you see the information saying this? I've checked both the "Enchant Clay" and "Mass Enchant Clay" spellpages and both are correctly pointing to Large Block of Clay as the required reagent.
The Pottery combines do use Magic Clay to create other sizes of magic clay (Small Blocks, Blocks, Large Blocks etc).
Not trying to attack you in any way, if I'm overlooking somewhere that we have the information listed wrong I would prefer to get it corrected.

To make magic clay, you need an Enchanter with the level 8 spell "Enchant clay"

You need a "large block of clay" not "block of clay"

Magic clay is correct, it makes it magic.. the name is irrelevent
When I use the 8th level spell "enchant clay" it makes large brick of magic clay not large brick of enchanted clay. Am I doing something wrong? I even tried casting it twice, but of course got the message I was missing the required component.
In order to make the large block of magic clay, you need a large block of clay.
