Ok I've looked at the recipe for this and there is any easier way to get this made.
-Akheva Blood can be bought in the Bazaar. -Essence of Darkness can be bought in the Bazaar. -Sapphires can be bought from venders. I got mine from the one in PoK with my charisma at 135 for only 104pp ea. -Poison Vials can be bought from venders. There are several in different zones, but I got mine in PoK.
-For the combinations it's easy to find an Enchanter to make the Vial of Distilled Mana. -Find a Brewer with a skill better than the 138 Trivial for the Black Acrylia Temper. -For the Sheet of Black Acrylia find a Smith with a skill better than the 117 Trivial required -For the final combination you can probably find a Smith with a skill of 250. I found one that will do the combination for me. It will cost me 500pp if he is successful.
For all I've spent(will spend), it's not a bad price to pay for a weapon I can sell for thousands of plat when I get my epic. Or give to one of my lower characters.
The easiest way to get these combinations done is if someone in your guild has the skills.
Good Luck. This is a very nice weapon till the Druid Epic Scimitar.
i got one of these for 1800pp buyign the stuff my self and paying for the combines pretty easy to get stuff in baz i ended up getting one of these and a black acrylia longsword for 3.2k not bad i think those two weps are a great comboe btw
hey you guys that vend at bazaar alot, please make some of these. i go everyday and see all but scimitars for sale. i know it sucks for a druid but i want one cause its about appearance for me you see. if you have one you are getting rid of then send me a tell on e'ci cause they are sharp imho.
Of all the "Black Acks" I think the scimitar would be the one I'd like the best. It has a short delay, meaning you'll proc more often and tap into more hit points. In addition when you're sick of it, this scimitar would have an excellent resale value to many classes, including druids. Granted that druids cannot melee too well in the mid levels; however coupled with Ensnare, when the foe begins his retreat while snared, the druid could be whacking away at his back (missing often), and drinking up hit points to save on heals after the fight. They will also be improving the 1HS skill for their epic.
Delay has no effect on frequency of procs. while it would SEEM that you get a chance to proc with each swing, the proc is actually on a seperate timer.
The scimitar and short sword have the same ratio (if you factor in the magic damage), there for if you look at the delay, the short sword is better. But who cares when the numbers are almost the same? Anyways, I love using BA weapons because of the lifetap. Saves lots of mana on heals.
This makes an awesome weapon dueled with the black acrylia rapier for bards while fear kiting. You lifetap hp that you lose back while fighting without having to twist in heals, and can concentrate on maintaining fear on the mob. As well, this goes well as a duo for a bard period, fighting a bit and mezzing while in a group, you take a few hits, but nothing major, well, lets keep the cleric a little higher on the mana for not having to heal us so frequently. Yeah, still need heals when we get whacked something serious, but, this and the rapier make an awesome duo. And, are in my opinion, the best 1 handed weapons out of the black acrylia set.
