Yes, I know that it has the mod, but that has not been enough to constitute the tradeskill tag that I noticed on this recently. Anyone have any ideas why it has this flag now. (I posted the updated picture to document it)

necro only!
# Apr 17 2004 at 4:54 AM Rating: Decent
IMO this Item is best for necros. The Sta and Regen ability cant be beat with how much HP they go through. there are better suited robes for the other caster classes if you are in VT. Emp Robe, Robe of Luring Shadows and Robe of Secrets. True the Preservation is good for chanters who buff alot, but in PoP today the buffs last so long with AAs and such that this isnt all that great. Plus you almost never see a good chanter run out of mana from casting rune again and again. Best go for Robe of Luring Shadows for it's effect to help with Mezzes and such, Robe of Secrets for the massive FT on one item and better stats, or Emp robe for the better stats and the 8 extra mana effect it gives.
Mages and Wizards? Not a chance! like I said .. look at the above robes and consider them first!
It IS a nice robe that any class can benifit in some way, though please consider what class could use it best on your raids when your throw in your DKP.

Our First run in VT had one of our 59 mages loot it. So all you people telling low levels they have no chance in hell of getting it should shut up (mage also got the sceptre from DXV).
RE: People who cry
# Jul 27 2004 at 4:25 PM Rating: Decent
Back when 60th level was cap, a 59th level might get this without being a bot or alt but not now and even then most 59th levels were due to level loss.

Commenting about bots getting loot as if the toon was a main... I find nothing 'impressive' about some bot getting good gear. Just another twink with a raiding twinker for a main is all.

Our guild has a buch of mid to high 40's and low 50's fully elemental flagged and a couple lowbie bots time flagged. Woopie -- they get rot drops from elemental+ zones when we do them and there's some fairly impressive stuff that rots at times.

Like lower level legits can 'plan' on doing such places... Get stuffed you dork.

So your saying that the peopl that Bring along hydra toons dont deserve the drops? Why becasue they do less? They are less effective? I mean what is your reasoning for being a bigget to some one who runs a extra cleric for teh ch chain, or a BUFFing cleric, or Buffing shaman or what ever class, are you telling me they didn't do there part for the raid effert? I ask you this have you ever done anything other then run one toon? I bet not, and if you did you were lost and could not keep up with the whats and wheres of the raid.

I personally run upto 6 toons, in raids all doing htere job... I sometimes MT, while in the cheal chain, work as part of a debuff team with shaman and or chanter, and have even do part of the kitting team yes Kitting, while MT,ing and chealing... and you say I dont deserve to get equal share in the loot? I dont ask for more then my share, adn if there is some one to do the job of one of my toon so be it, I'll park them some where and be done with it not even thinking twice. But if I am expected to act as part of the Raid force with any and or all of my hydra then you better belive I want equal credit... fortunatly my guild gives credit for hydra attendance, as long as your not sitting back in the cornner leaching, but then we expect all attend's to give 110%, If this droped while I was with necro, chanter mage, or wizard you better belive I would put up DKP for at least one of them toons. and Oh boo hoo becuse I attend 95% of all raids I got the DKP to out bid 99% of the people. Now all that BS said I also am not a greedy little *****, like 90% of the raiding schmucks I have seen posts from, if some one in my guild can and will amke better use of it then I I dont bid, but then thats me

Why, exactly, would you care if you got a 40% mana reduction on the casting cost of a 5 mana spell?

Personally, though the stats scream necro, the effect would be highly beneficial for an enchanter, who in high stress situations is constantly casting Arcane Rune at 400 mana a pop.

Edit: Hm, which I just now note is exactly what the poster below me has already said. :-)

Self only
# Feb 19 2004 at 8:42 AM Rating: Default
This thing would be incredible for an enchanter which needs to keep runing themselves. Good for anyone of course but when I think about who is going to be casting self only beneficial spells the most often I come up with enchanter more then any other class that can use this item. The self only part really handicaps the effect.

This little beauty is in the top 5 in the game so far as HPs for pure casters goes (as at the time of posting). By this I mean overall HPs taking into account the large STA bonus. It adds precisely 200 HPs to me (with ND3).

I nearly spilled my beer when it was awarded to me last night.

Can you say nice? Nice.

but...
1.self only
2.Beneficial only
3.Min Duration(6.00 sec),means that the effect time must more than 6sec then this focu will be able to work.

am i right?

Yes, you are correct. Which is why this is a good focus for a rune spell. (Normally the rune last longer than 6 seconds unless you are getting pounded).

Twitch is instant, so I dont think this will work very will with it.

If twitching is considered a beneficial spell, I would toss this thing to the nearest necro so they would stop complaining on how inefficiant twitching is mana wise...

Other than chanters, no one else blows their mana load during a raid more than necros...

Twitching isn't inefficient because of the mana cost, it's because the damage that could be done with that mana far exceeds the benefit any other class would have if they were being twitched.

Lucky me this littel baby droped for us last night and i won. now the focus effect may seem a waste but is not. It comes in very handy when you are soloing summoning mobs and using you force shield spell a lot wich fit my solo stile perfectly.

AlligatorRex your such a f-u-c-k-i-n-g liar we all know a 59 mage cannot get this...PLUS its a 60 robe so you CANT even equip it. Most of the uber guilds in Karana won't even have a 59 mage in it. NO 59 mage can go through Emperor Ssraeshza etc etc and enter Vex Thal.
RE: Woot
# Mar 20 2004 at 4:23 PM Rating: Decent
Had to mention that I had a bit of a chuckle when reading this post about a 59 mage because it's kind of freaky - my 58 mage won this robe a couple of nights ago. He was one of only two chars in the raid below 65 (the other was a bot).

I got it because I had the points and I suspect the other casters were holding off spending their's till they saw what Aten was going to drop :)

Yes, required level is 60 - which I have to say I didnt even notice when I put my hand up for it!

Guess I have to move my *** and get a couple of levels :)

P.S. Ignore the sig its way old... server was Xev and guild was The Hand.
RE: Woot
# Nov 02 2003 at 6:05 PM Rating: Decent
/agree with Evoker
this robe DOES say required level of 60..
what i dont agree with is the fact that you said most uber guilds wouldnt have a 59 lvl...wrong.
i know of MANY people in "uber" guilds that run around with Anon on so no one can see there level..and are well below 65 there bud..
Plus..but you do have a point none the less..

RE: Woot
# Dec 15 2002 at 6:18 AM Rating: Default
you do realize it says RECOMMENDED level of 60, right? not REQUIRED? a 59 could equip this, but they wouldnt get the full stats (most likely 1 or 2 points of ac lower till they level)
RE: Woot
# Nov 02 2003 at 6:06 PM Rating: Decent
so...it does say recommended...why dont you look again..
but it is true that if it was recommended it would have less stats for a lower level...but it isnt recommended

There are some items that you can't equip until a certain level but I doubt the minimum is 60 on this robe. Since PoP came out, there are now Required level tags on certain items.

Who cares about the skill mod... I'm liking the whole Aura of Battle effect and that AC/hps.

Aura of Battle effects your regen.. and begins at like 2hps at lvl 45. But it increases as you level I'm pretty sure.. So by the time you get this at lvl 60 you'll have a regen of 10-12 hps just from the robe. Add 3 from natural regen and a Z-heart and you're close to 20hps a tick regen. Me being a necro would love this.

Stamina.. 25 stamina at lvl 60 even for a caster is a pretty good amount. I get 2.5hps for 1 sta.. that = 62.5hps (well 63 if rounded up) + 125 = 188hps!

And 55ac! Come on guys.. that rivals plate bp's from Velious! And the resists go without saying.

I for one.. want this robe.. I'm one of the few in my guild that do.. so I've a good chance of getting it. I'm not going to miss the mana and my int will be maxed anyway without my current robe. And most casters in my guild have over a 4k mana pool anyway.

Alright, it's fairly obvious that spell research ain't going to do squat when you already had your maxed researched spells 11 levels ago. This zone has gear to prepare us all for what is yet to come, the next expansion. Would it be possible that they are going to add research in?
wtf??
# Jun 30 2002 at 4:43 PM Rating: Default
Rieli, where the hell do you get off saying this is obviously a necro robe? Are you retarded? Your highest lvl is 31, you dont know ****, i am a lvl 58 enchanter, and believe me i get the hell beat out of me when the tank dosnt do his job right, or i caste a spell something dosnt like, having ac and regen is ****** sweet for enchanters, that way the healer dosnt waste mana healing me. Another thing, if your a necro looking for a regen item get a Z heart for crying out loud. My rant for the day. (maybe)
RE: wtf??
# Jul 01 2002 at 8:59 AM Rating: Decent
Umm... it basicly is a necro item. Zaar of Triton got his because no one else really wanted it. Notice it has ZERO mana on it in any form. Most people of that caliber want a large mana pool as well. Even the other necros were not too keen on that robe when it dropped. Why don't you get into Vex Thal and then you can tell us if you really want it that bad or not.
RE: wtf??
# Jul 25 2002 at 1:27 PM Rating: Decent
Eci Zanzer Grimm Im a lvl 45 wiz and climbing. No this doesnt have any int or mana. Hell I look at the big picture. My int is way over 200 with out my robe. With the high ac and a lot of save vs' I would love to have this when soloing or maybe even a group if in a deadly area. And if you have it on Eci and want to sell it let me know.
