Does anyone know if this still drops? If so, off what and where? Was this from the old Ring of Fire that has been removed? At the time of this post the only info above is that it drops in Acrylia Caverns. Any help would be appreciated.
OOC i play on FV and these things are sold in bazaar there, as most that can get one have better already. when does this proc?
I dont know much about this zone and am only lvl 50 druid. Can you tell me how to get this weapon and/or who i have to kill?

Ok, just to clear this up, you don't need to get the AC key to go to Ring of Fire. You can walk into the zone, turn right and go straight down the path to the ring. The key gets you into the deeper areas of the zone where this guy lives.
I'm fairly certain of this, but can anyone who has actaully fought him confirm? I'm probably not going to be able to get the key anytime soon, but I might start working on it by killing some of the GF mobs (the ones in the caves are on par with the things my group has been killing).
I have triggered the RoF, but only to test it out. It's kind of interesting being FD in the middle of the ring and watching the mobs spawn and stand around for a bit before the event ends and they despawn (no agro = end of event). I did fight one of the ring mobs that stayed around after the event the second time I triggered it (bug, I assume) and he was tough enough that I had to gate out.

Actualy look at the picture.... it says combat.. thats NOT triggered its random... the part above it is wrong it will proc when u r fighting

Dont even bother posting other wise until you have done the same.
True no key to zone in, they might be referring to the key to the one crypt...the one with the guy who Death touches for 20k of damage...

This is from a later (Inner) area of Acrilyia. It requires a key to get in there. (like on par with Vex Thal key hard to get key.)
For the level of difficulty, this item kinda sucks... there are just a lot of equivilant or better weapons that are easier to get; with more important effects. (like any bard who can get here has a 25/25 weapon... warriors are going to have a blade of carnage / SoD / etc...)
Getting a key to the acrylia mines is nowhere near as difficult as getting a key to Vex Thal. It's more in line with getting a key to the emperor's chamber, or dragon necropolis. Takes a few days, triggered events. Each event takes a few hours. Most can be done with one group of 50's characters. Last and hardest will require either more than one group or a VERY competent group use to handling alot of tough mobs at once.
As for the quality of this sword...its actualy a very nice weapon. If it drops during the ring of fire, I would say it would be an appropriate reward up until the 4th ring. If it drops in the 4th or later I'd feel kinda ripped off.
p.s. Vex Thal key requires the effort of a very high level GUILD, and many level 60 chararcters.

THIS ITEM ROCKS concidering that it is triggered not random!! =) so i can sit ther and trigger this,, but hmmm it wont work so well if i try to kill a mob that hits for 500+ but still oh well its a nice weapon, if your under 50 ;)
It's an event item. Is there any other way to get one?

If you are thinking of event, as in GM Event, this isn't from one. It's from the Ring of Fire ( or perhaps a later ring ) in Acrylia. No, there isn't another way to get this blade though

I think this item is very good for all the classes listed plus the proc of lifedraw(45point lifetap spell) is a nice addition to about any ********** if you can get it you should it would be preety damn nice IMO
