I just looted a Mark of Animal Training from "a tenacious lightcrawler" in the Scarlet Desert.

I was killing the revenants on the plateau, checking my track for anything unusual (as usual) when I saw it. Hunted it down, snare, root, Breath of Ro, Drifting Death, sit, check track for anyting else, Starfire (cause it was kinda crowded w/ possible adds), dead.
The mark was its only loot.
Light Blue con to a level 52.
Hope this helps.

killed the true bat in TM tonite, dropped mark of training tho, not animal training. Read somewhere that a rogue drop in MLetalis was mixed up with another mob, maybe this is the same deal? That one was a mind leech and spire spirit that had the others supposed drop... however I see that the true bat is also listed as dropping the mark of training for monk piece. Does this mean that named mobs can have more than one drop??
