I feel confident in saying that this cannot drop off "a mature wurm". Magelo has no recorded loots from a mature wurm, and a mature wurm also spawn by the bucketloads - I've seen as many as 6 up at once - while all the other mobs listed are rare, and typically only up one at a time.

Got it today from Faerie of Dismay. First kill.

Followed the list of mobs, used my ranger Box to track/kill them. Popped a few Fabled Black Scar's back to back, they didnt drop it, ended up getting it off the "a soul devourer" like my 20th kill in.

I've been in Skyfire for days now, looking for this book, I've gone through the cycle more than a few times, killed every named multiple times, slaughtered dozens of mature wurms and soul devourers, went up three levels, and still no book. WTF!

I did, however, get my butt kicked by The Fabled Black Scar.
Dropped of Faerie of Dismay today for me. Took a few kills to get it.
10 minutes and done. Book. Don't even remember what it dropped from but think it was a Wurm.

Off wandering wurm. Spent a good 4-5 hours killing. Probably best to stick to killing the named spawns in the cycle posted below. I had a feeling this wurm had it because he was abnormally hard to hit; way more misses than on similar mobs.
I got the book today off Black Scar. Being a Monk with no tracking, I simply ran all over Skyfire and killed hundreds of mobs, mainly going after mature wurms and of course all the named and relatively rare mobs listed here as dropping the book. Got the book after around two hours of killing. Also ran into and killed Talendor while I was there :).

The mobs that drop this are the same ones you would kill to make Felia Goldenwing spawn for the enchanter epic. Get a tracker and kill:
a soul devourer
a shadow drake
a wandering wurm
a wurm spirit
Guardian of Felia
Black Scar
Faerie of Dismay
Leave Felia up if she spawns so that an enchanter has the chance to charm and turn in (I had to camp her all day). The mobs spawn every 30 seconds to 2 minutes and are normally trackable from atop the volcano near the Burning Woods zone but can stray farther north. In the 10 hour process of trying to spawn Felia, about 5 or more of these books dropped.

this book took me forever to get for my monk and i had myself and a 66 tracker we killed 20 nameds and 100s of junk mobs 2 days just to get this but its a start i hope itsnot all like this

Dropped off a Soul Devourer near Overthere zone

Killed 3x a shadow drake, 1x Eldrig the Old, 2x Faerie of Dismay, 2x Black Scar, and innumerous other trash. 2nd pop of Black Scar dropped it. Camped near wall by Wizard port area. Dropped in bout 1 hr or so of train kills.

i've been in SF now for about 4 hours...killed several named...and several shadow drakes, and not a thing....is there a specific spot where these mobs spawn at?

I know its been confirmed several times, but site hasnt been updated yet so Ill comfirm once again: The book Immortals drops off a shadow drake... Dropped for me today.

Had a Druid track and kill each of the named listed... 2 straight kills of "a shadow drake" dropped Immortals both times. So "a shadow drake" does drop immortals, may have been lucky on it who knows :)

i have confirmed that a shadow drake does have the the book (immortals). got it on the second kill
"common" that's not even close to accurate... this should be labeled uncommon at the very least.. more like rare.. was here 3 hrs yesterday and been here an hour today still no book lol

Ok I have to go thru this painful process of getting these pieces. What part of zone should I hunt in. I heard the monks Epic takes forever to finish. Just need a little help in this matter
