It's castable / clickable on any player just like the spell. If you do not have a player targetted, it will auto-cast on yourself.

On TLP's, this item is dropped by Lord of Ire. It should be added to his loot table.

Got mine last month. An eerie chest was on tracking and it dropped...
In what situations are these used ??

Very useful on progression servers. On live servers I'm sure it's still useful for low level poisons if non curing classes don't want to buy cure potions.

It took me 2 weeks of almost 24-7 camping to get 2 of these to drop. I have seen this named only spawn once in a 28 hour period and other times I could get 5 spawns in a day. I think there is a anti camp code involved. I would get more spawns when I would switch out my character camping this spot or just log for a bit.

I must have gotten very lucky. With the aim of getting at least one more of these for my alt(s), I headed up to PoHate. Checked and the chest was up. Dispatched it quickly and the shield was on him. 5 mins in and out with my rogue and I now have a spare to share around.

it was a loooong camp but not too bad. i left my cleric bot in the eerie chest room with the volume up while i played my main in another window. every 29 min or so i would hear him getting beat on so i'd just alt-tab back to the cleric and kill the ph or eerie.
in 4-5ish days of camping it on and off, i saw close to 20 eerie chests: 2 eyes of inny, tons of the pally shield and 4 ranger whips. i think they upped the spawn rate on him because i did see him quite a lot.

I farm the rarest of the rares all over Norrath for about 7 years now, and after camping this many many times I have realized that the shield of the immaculate is very rare indeed and will take you up to 3 days or more sometimes to get one, but that paly only shield that this mob drops is by far more rare. I would say I have gotten around 10 shields of the immaculate through the years and I have only seen the ribcage erudite paly only shield drop twice. Not super useful info I just thought it was interesting.. So if you see it for sale in bazaar for 5k or more even though it is a lame stat item your paying for one of the rarest drops i have ever seen in eq

About 50 hours over a weeks time, off and on camping. Kill PH, set timer on phone for 29 min and go on with life.
No more than a dozen an eerie chest spawns.

This shield is a confirmed drop off of both Inny and the Lord of Ire. Rare to very rare on Inny, VERY rare on the Lord of Ire. If the Lord of Ire has it, there will be NO graphic, so you must kill each and every last spawn of him till it drops and hope you get lucky.
It is clickable from inventory by all classes. Good luck camping.

Everyone wonders why this goes for so much plat, but if you actually tried farming this you would know why. Yes sometimes you can get lucky and get it in a short farm time, but it usually takes a couple days to get one. I know this because I have farmed 4 so far. So if you want one of the neatest clickies in the game, either go farm it for hours upon hours or cough up 100k, pure and simple.
While camping for the ranger epic (Shattered Emerald of Corruption) I spent a couple days here in Hate. I just made a big circle killing all PH's for mini bosses. They all share the same 30 min timer. Got a lot of crap for the most part. Lots and lots of research components. Lots of the old hate gear (read: useless) I spent approx 3 days, unknown hours. Finally, the seoc dropped from Magi and I brought my ranger up to loot it. While I was getting ready to leave the zone, I quickly checked tracking again and viola! There was the eerie chest.. which hadn't spawned at all during my time here. I almost missed it.. and I would have been really peeved, since it did drop the Shield. So, I haven't decided whether to keep or sell it. I could really use the cash since the economy is soooo bad these days. I do mean the eq economy.
Anyway, I am on Emarr and if you are interested, gimme a tell and make an offer. You can send a tell to anyone in the guild "Stygian Rush"

Not really useless. You can turn old world planar armor in to guild masters in PoK for a random valuable gem (diamond, ruby, jacinth, etc).
Dropped after 28 hours of camping.

Are you sure you're not looking at the weight? Both lucy and eqitems show this as being only type 7. All of the type 3 slots so far have been LDoN only.

they just changed it from paladin only to all/all, same with the old classes listed on the holgresh elder beads and the amulet of necropotence, made all 3 all/all

This is useful against certain mobs/encounters like AMV in CoA. AMV has a DT ae with 9 disease counters. if not cured you are a gonner. 3 clickys of this takes 3 secs and you are cured. Very handy for classes with no cures.

this is a nice shield i realy think this woudl be handy somtiems and other times not. can anyone tell me details about the guys who drop this. or teh guy who drops this. thanks. and also HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!

well at least this overpriced lil item has SOME real function, better than the AoN which is a useless piece of crap , and should be removed from the game IMHO because the AoN campers ***** up too many epic spawns >< Yes MINOR cure disease can be useful, but remember it"s MINOR cure, if you're high enough level that you can afford to pay 200pp for it, the disease's you get hit with are most likely gonna take a ton of 1 sec (NOT insta-clicky) casts. I swear, if you can click an item out of inventory, for some reason unimformed people get over-excited, and will pay way too much for it.But hey, if one drops for you, and you can find one of P.T.Barnums people to buy it, more power to ya.
Funny, in all these posts I never saw anyone who KEPT the damn thing, they all were camping to sell it.If its so good and useful, lets see some who camped it , use it and are gushing about how it saved the whole raid.. at 200K it better.

well this is a lil off the subject , but this item and the AoN are pretty much required items for a pvp server , clickys save your life against players trying to pell ya. so of corse Mr.Blubie server has know idea what he's talking about. Oh and ask for this lil item on a PvP server. this item stips Crimson potions making people mezzable, so to a any Mezzer on Zek this item is priceless.

Maybe someone can help me understand WHY this is so flippin' expensive? 200 plus k for it on Druzzil Ro, almost 300k on Drinal . . .. Ok, so it's got a clicky cure disease, but it only cures MINOR diseases, which by the time you get this you're going to be dealing with much higher diseases. *shrugs* Just my opinion, but I don't see why it's going to be so expensive an item except that after spending so much time camping it, you're frustrated. lol

that 2250 DoT for an HOUR will kill people fast. Each click of this item removes 4 counters. Once all 50 are gone the DoT is removed. So in 13 clicks You can cure yourself. At 1 click per second You only have to take 2 ticks of damage.
Last weekend we had an idiot set off this DoT. I cured myself and 3 others, the last guy was at 0% HP. I save 4 deaths. I am an enchanter. Add to that events like AMV in COA which has a DIS cureable Death Touch and this has been well worth the 50k I paid for it.

After many many hours of camping Id have to say that no it does not drop off Lord of Ire anymore .
I got one off Eerie Chest yesterday and at 140+ hours invested Id say ......... bring beer 'cause youre gonna be here a long gd time .

Well what i can confirm about this is that the spawn rate still sucks been here for 12 hours tonight and got one chest and 2 Lord of Ire's. No drops.
