I started camping the Bear Wednesday evening, no placeholders were up. I came back Thursday morning, placeholders were up, killed them both. Checked clock, came back in 6.75 hrs to see what pops. Placeholders again, killed them again. Came back in another 6.75 hrs, placeholders were up again. Killed them again. Had to come back 6.75 hours later, which was approx 4:30 a.m. I overslept, :(, got up at 5 a.m. but noone else was there, bear was up, conned dark blue to me at level 36. Got buffed and all my root/stun/DD spells in place. Next time he came around Root, uh oh, didn't take. Finally got him stunned/rooted and started blasting him. Had some fizzles on my Blinding Liminance :( gave up on it, ran out of mana with a small amount of life left, start beating him with my weapon, he started to run. Finally got enough mana to use Force which left him with a sliver of life, finally beat him to death, then had to kill the stupid IB Skelly that followed us out. Got my Ingot and medded enough to gate my booty outta there. WOOT! Came away with 2 reds left, I think I did pretty good for a weakling cleric :).
A cleric could use SENSE THE DEAD and find the icebones. kind of like tracking. Kill them fairly easily... Then go back to spawn point. The only thing is if YOU are out killing the place holders... no one will know your working hard for them... othe people camping. are there only 2 roaming?

Always! by the time you get the camp (Assuming you do!) most the friends you have brought along will have left and you will be all alone and forced to share the camp with others. Hence...Rolling on the shield if it does indeed drop (Hint, hint...it's rare). That narrows your chances of gettting it to nil! On the other hand, the only people killing the glacial bear is clerics, and shamans. Kinda narrows the field down a bit doesn't it?

I went in the cave and was being careful not to run into lich and his pet.I ran into the bear and killed him without the use of my pet.between being excited and nervous due to not knowing if Lich was near,i looted him and gated out.It was not till i looked into my items did i notice the glacier bear pelt must have been left on the ground in the cave.Make sure you have a spot vacant for it for it doesnt fit in smaller bags.Learn from my mistake =(
always carry a toolbox/sewingkit/fletchingkit unless you are a monk.it is only 1 pound heavier than the backpacks, and can hold any size item up to and including giant. Good for things like halbereds, plus size pelts and heads, and things like that. Now that the loose all contents upon combine" issue is fixed, there is no reason to not always carry one(unless of course you are a monk).
Actually, Toolboxes,Large Sewing Kits, Fletching Kits, and the such weigh 3.0 WT, the same as a normal backpack. There are also Deluxe Sewng Kits, which weight 4.0 WT but hold 10 Giant items.
the glacier bear is not a rl week spawn it is a 8 hr spawn and the 2 ROAMING ice bone skeletons are the place holders . the mobs arnt called roaming btw they are just moving around (had to put that in thier i told my friend what to kill as the PH and he said he could only find icebone no raoming icebone. after u kill the ph 8 hrs later either a PH will spawn or the bear good luck
This shield is not worth the trouble just go to Kaesora at around 30 with a few buddies and camp there killing Strathbone spiders and eventually you will kill enuff healers to get a Strathbone Shell Shield : 19AC +8wis +5mana in my humble opinion is is worth it and much easier to get at 30 and you get xp. Also just for all ya that max out at 200 wis... this will allow you to dump that +6 ring so that you can go for resistances on jewlery or something. ME I plan on getting my dwarf a full suit of Imbued, and this sheild that will put me way up on the wis without getting anything else and I will have awesome AC.

actually dwarves get, imho anyway, the best imbued cultural armour in the game, brell really know how to treat his li'l clerics and other plate wearing followers of underfoot right, hehe. it's almost enough to make me want to remake my cleric as a dwarf, but on the other hand, my erudite not only has the old steelskin silken armour, but there is now also a new up-graded tailored cultural armour for erudite plate classes with ac thats right up there with many of the velious quest armours, and they are right up to par with any other high end cultural smithed armours out there, especially when you look at the wt to ac ratio for the weaker erudites and even further enhanced with great stat bonuses and resists. but any way, enough random info from me, just get in there, play the game, and have some fun, laters. 8)
I love how people think they know everything and try to make others look dumb. Just so you know, there is imbued armor for pretty well every race except half elf(although they can wear a few of the other races armor if I remember right). Theres also an upgraded version called Infused armor. Think before you post, if your going to mock someones intelligence make sure you know for sure that theyre wrong!
The glacier bear spawns once a rl week making him a real pain to camp. He wanders all around the cave, so take care nor to run into Miragul. If you don't have a tracker a shaman or a druid can use sense animal to see if he's in the cave. That's how I found him to get the glacier bear pelt for my totemic helm.
Minotaur Sentries spawn in the same room as Melgarath the maligant, a rather nasty lvl 35 necromancer. Minos are blue to me at 40 and red to my dwarven friend at 30, so figure it out. Everything in that room will aggro through the wall before you even get to them so beware.
The glacial bear spawns in the same cave that Miragul's Lich is, the cave that is entered via swimming under the ice of the frozen river in everfrost. I hear the bear is an extremely rare spawn.
