It's a great item for lower lvl INT casters. I gave one to my wizzy then opted for a Dragoon Dirk to free up on hand for a book or other INT or Mana item. It's not bad but not great eiter, but looks mean.

I tried it at lvl 15 with a fletching of 102. 10 attempts, 10 failures. I've since raised it to 140. But a note on coin. I'm finding that using the cheapest skill raising method (most complex component and 3 cheapest ones) I can make around 65 arrows per stack and have it only cost me around 3 or 4 |

Just a quick FYI, just did this quest for my brother's SK. I had the Decayed Helm and 2 Freeport Milita helms. My buddy had the Decayed Visor. I am amialbe to Temple of Solusek Ro and by buddy is apprehensive.

I did this quest today for fun. I'm a 55 Ranger. It was so easy, the guy you must kill is a wimp. He goes down very fast, and the reward is pretty cool. The effect is:
STA loss: 20
STR loss: 15
AC loss: 30
Plus the blade looks awesome. |

Max out your int in other slots though and put this on, +45 mana is good. At level 45, 45 mana is the same as 10 int. At 23 it's almost 20 int, at 11, it's about 40 int. |

This thing is invisible on an Erudite paladin. Actually a unique look - since most Erudites wear robes with hoods. So wear this if you want to show off your high forehead!

On the issue of twinking I beleve it is beneficial and healthy to give a leg up to a starter as long as you dont goto extreem some basic armor, a decent weapon, or even a set of spells.
