Roar - Hi Souls :)

EQ2 - Looking forward to starting a new character on a new advanced EQ realm. Better graphics. Will be upset about saying goodbye to my lovingly played monk - BUT am really looking forward to starting again - from scratch. Come on guys and gals, how many of you roleplayers out there LOVE like I do creating a new character for whatever system you play. Although yes I would like a slightly more advanced character creation style for our characters.

Too me there is no other more exciting part of roleplay, than creation and gradual build-up thru experiences of a memorable character. I love meeting new people, interacting with them and accomplishing goals that make me a better character. With EQ2 I get the chance to start over again, I get those moments again when my stomach churns at the thought of entering a new never explored dungeon (Well by me anyway). The exciting moment when a brand new item is found for the first time.

lol all this excitement is getting the better of me - I CANNOT WAIT !

I dont have to much to say about EQ2, Twinking, or crying over lost characters but i do have to say this all you guys are reall Damn Funny good day

LOL my monk is lvl 23, main char, and he is using a knucle duster robe of the lving fungus, he has 159 agi, and he is my first char.

I agree with prior statements, there should be some kind of transfer allowed. Obviously, EQ2 will be very different from EQ1, but I imagine they could come up with some way to reward loyal players of EQ1 who have played long enough to build some very high-lev characters, and aren't going to be too keen on dumping them. Otherwise, they may find themselves supporting EQ1 while developing EQ10. Assuming they will do something like this, I'm quite looking forward to it. I'm glad they're going for a more realistic community thing, I'm particularly looking forward to (what I hope to be) an expanded trade skill system. Breakable items sounds painful at first it will do wonders for the player to player ingame business industry. (I do assume, however, they will make some items that don't break. Maybe major quest items like Epics that are NO DROP, which will effectively avoid mass genocide due to your huge quest item biting the dust. Making them NO DROP would help avoid twinks, and being NO DROP, it wouldn't seriously harm the trading community.) I'm not sure what to think of buying land. It sounds very risky in so far as size and server support, but SO fun. ^_^

As for twinks...I don't do it, myself. Being broke at first is half the fun. However, I can understand why someone would. What's annoying is when you sit in GFay offering free mega-buffs and decent gear (and sometimes some coin if I really like them) to the newbies, and having some twink with better gear than you come up and ask for stuff. Twink away, if you want it, but one would think doing so kills your dibs on high-lev freebies. (I've actually been tricked by twinks. I'd shout my offer for freebies, and the person came up in typical naked newb gear and because I was insane that night, I gave them a Trueshot, then 20 minutes later, on an alt in the same zone, I caught them with insane gear, trying to auction off the very same bow, citing that they had a better one. Nasty.)

If you're wondering why I'm still yammering, it's because that happened to me not an hour ago and I'm still steaming. >.<

Well...I started playing EQ 10 moths ago and i think its simply the best game ever made, and Eq2 will not be better at my opinion EQ1 its insuperable, at least in adiction ^^.

you konw for some of you this game has become to serious if i was you id quit EQ1 and play EQ2 just to regain my snaity all of you are so concerend about twinking and having to start over that you have fail to realize the good points about the game:

it lets you get away from the real world and just relax now you can pay $13 a month or pay
250$ dollars a night a strip bar the choice is yours but for all you verant bashers let me tell you something VI DOESNT GIVE A GOOD GODDAMN ABOUT YOU GET USE TO IT AND IF YOU CANT COPE PLZ LEAVE ALL THEY ARE DOIN IS GIVING YOU THE OPTION TO PLAY YOUR THE ONE WHOS PLAYING SO BE MAD AT YOURSELF

personally ive been playing for about 3 years now and i do still find the game fun becuze i didnt twink and i have 1 character and hes lvl 46
and he has great gear. what i dont understand is that you people complain about player advantages. think for a sec if verant gave you a advantage then the game wouldnt be even remotely fun just like console games and cheats. for example like on mortal kombat when you unloked all the characters masterd all the moves and memorized all teh fatalitys it was not fun anymore. so honestly why are you guys complaing about a game you dont have to play go play DAoC i hear its better anyway but personally im goin to play EQ2 cuz over all i love the game and thinks its the best on earth and im getting kinda board with EQ1. and if you think about it thats prolly why they are doin EQ2 like they are for sane players like me who are growing board cuz the armor and weapons now if you havent noticed are way to good. hell i remember when a yak went for 6k and thats not even a pair and players where much happier but it was that thrist for power that made it boring for most.
personally i feel that if EQ2 can provide me witha fun new enviroment and allow me to make a player that can DW a pair of axes cast spells and not be a little B_ITCH when it comes to meleeing then im good.


but a couple of suggestions for verant:

1. in EQ2 make the cloaks visible that is really aklso letting a guild have more custumization like putting their symble on a cloak or tunic
2. make battleing and dueling more dimesional. im not saying make EQ tekken but lets face it we need more then just push A kick /spell combo becuase doin it th at way totally takes out all player control and battle know how and i tink if you do it. it will draw alot of new customers (like console players who are looking for more than just a tekken or street fighter)like for instance pushing a allows attack mode but you have to push certain buttons to hit certain ways like on console games hell make the num pad like a joy stick like every different button do a different action
3.find a different way to carry your weapons. to me standing with your weapons in your hands all the time is really uncalled for. make it so you can put them at your side or across your back. then when you hit a they whip them out in some fashion that makes the player say DAM_N that was F_CUKING AWESOME then you can choose how,where and when you want to hit cuz to me a bunch of people in a big mob just hacking away with no control over what they do SUCKS BIG FAT FLOPPY DONKEY DYCKS
4. let the hybrid classes have better spells and for god sakes give the ranger some dignity i mean what the hell. VI do you hate us rangers what did we ever do to you. now dont ge the wrong idea i love my ranger but something needs to be done either give give us more ac, HP, or better yet give us a spell that gives us a pet that might help save our biscuits. becuaze for a class taht has no evac plan you sure nudered our abilities
5. give as much custumization options as possible the one thing and only one ting about DAoC i like is that no one in the same server (or realms in DAoC terms) is exactly alike
6. the only way your goin to beat all the competition is to deliver something thats not availible. it seems to me that your trying to keep up instead of does something new. well my advice is GROW SOME FU_CKING BALLS AND BEAT THE HELL OF GALAXIES, SHADOWBANE,AND DAoC FOR CRYING OUT LOUD YOUR SONY HE BEST IN THE GAME ACT LIKE IT
