Firefall Updates Its Friend Referral Program
Take on Copacabana with your friends and earn some shiny new rewards!
Earlier Red 5 Studios re-introduced its FireFall Referral Program, allowing you to bring your closest friends to Copacabana and earn rewards as you pave your way through legions of "Chosen" and other enemies that await you on the island. While the ability to invite your friends to the game has been in for a while, this new system allows you to earn cosmetic rewards and some extra real money currency for doing so.
In order to invite your buddies to the game, you'll first need to make sure they don't already have an active FireFall account or have already been "referred" by someone else. Once you've confirmed that neither of these are true, you simply go to your "Friend Invites" tab on your account page, enter in your friend's email (along with an optional message) and click send. Your friend should then receive an email with a link to create his or her account.
On top of having some friends to party up with in game, there are two types of additional rewards you can receive as well. The first is a pair of Night Vision Goggles that can be acquired the first time any referred friend creates an account. These can only be gained once and will only be gained by the player who sent out the referrals.
The second reward comes in the form of Red Beans–the real money currency used in FireFall. The first time any friend purchases Red Beans on their account, both you and the referred friend will receive 10 bonus Red Beans as a reward. This can occur once per referred account.
"Sending these referrals are not only a great way for you to get rewards and get your friends to join you in game, but it’s also the highest compliment we could ever receive. Thank you all for your continued support! We hope you and your friends enjoy these rewards, and we’ll see you in game!"
As mentioned before, this program is not entirely new and has been available to players for a while, so any Red Bean rewards should still be rewarded for players, as well as friends who were invited on or after July 29th. Unfortunately, since the Night Vision Goggles are a fairly new addition to the program, the team is still looking at ways to get those into the hands of players who may have previously invited their buddies to the game.
As always, let us know your thoughts on the new Referral Program and keep it locked to ZAM for more gaming news, updates and information.
Good Hunting!
