Void Shards Dropping Like Candy!

Have you checked your email or the MOTD?  To celebrate Halloween, Void Shards will be dropping all over Norrath!  The bonus starts Friday, October 30th at 2:00 PM PDT and runs until 10:00 AM PDT Monday November 2nd.

While you're out there, don't forget that Nights of the Dead is in full swing in Norrath!  The new Hedge Maze is particularly engaging, and previous years' events including the Haunted Houses are active too.  Get yourself in the mood with some awesome EQII Nights of the Dead wallpaper!

Yeah, I managed to get one shard on Friday evening, after hours of fighting in Kunzar Jungle. My husband has been luckier and has gotten three today just running through the Hollow Hedge with his alts (about a total of 2 1/2 - 3 hours of actual fighting). I would have loved a higher drop rate (I'm always unlucky with LoN promo cards, too), but I guess something is better than nothing.

They are very very rare, and they do seem to be dropping all over. I have had friends get them in the FP noob zones, and my group had 2 shard chests drop last night in Mistmyr Manor, in addition to the normal shards.

But, despite that, some complain that they have been farming for hours without seeing one. So, luck of the draw
They do drop...but

The e-mail I got said "boosted void shard drops". Now, while it'd be awesome if they dropped all over Norrath, I have this feeling that it won't be so. (please let it be all over!!)
