The recent week-long anniversary buff that doubled legendary drop rates in Diablo III has been made permanent. The announcement came due “to the overwhelming popularity” of the buff.

To celebrate the game's 2nd anniversary, Blizzard is granting a birthday buff to all players this week: double Rift Fragments and a +100% boost to finding Legendary items. The bonuses end on Thursday, May 22 at 8AM Eastern.

The console launch date for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls has been announced! Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 owners can dive into Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition on August 19, 2014. This version of the game includes the base game plus the expansion.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is now live for the PC and Mac! Enjoy the new Crusader class, journey through Act V and face the Angel of Death, level up to 70 and much more. Blizzard has posted a Death Maiden's Guide to welcome you into the new expansion. No one can stop Death... but you're welcome to try!

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls goes live in the Americas tonight at 9pm PT (midnight ET), and Blizzard wants to make sure you're prepared. The team recommends downloading and upgrading your Battle.net client as well as patching D3 to its latest version (2.0.3.22427 as of this afternoon). Ensure that you claim your RoS game key in your Battle.net account management. Remember that everyone who registers their key prior to 11:59pm PT on March 31st receives the Wings of Valor in-game item and unlocks Valla for Heroes of the Storm!
