I got hit with the nostalgia hammer pretty hard the other day. Hi guys! All of my closer friends moved on to ffxiv with me when that launched, but I've been way too busy to play. With so many changes on the horizon(ENTIRE revamp of the game, including graphics, battle system almost completely redone from launch) I'm prob gonna stay away till it's all said and done.

I tried reactivating Lacaan the other day but he's been banned due to RMT activities. I guess they got ahold of my account after I turned it off some time back. Is RMT still an issue in XI these days?
#13 Jan 26 2012 at 3:16 PM Rating: Good
It apparently was after the RMT discovered Fell Cleave parties.

Sorry to hear Lacaan is gone Smiley: frown The good news is that leveling up is easier than ever, so if you're really jonesin' for a fix, you can start over from scratch.

Hi Shade! yar, I haven't made up my mind yet. I -am- going to go back to FFXIV when 2.0 comes out but I'm not sure what I'll do from now until then(christmas I think it'll be.) I do have some plans for the summer already so I don't want to get too involved. If I hop on xi I'll be sure to hunt ya down though.

I am returning after 5 years my main character was Morella. I cant remember my LS but I remember people like Blueice and I think if i am correct Catwho was in our LS commnity too. Looking forward to settling down and seeing the changes and meeting up with any old friends I partied with years ago. Just got installed and updated late last night and will be on tonight for sure. Going to pick up the expansion stuff as soon as possible too. If anyone is playing on the XBOX 360 private message me for my gamertag so we can chat. Looking forward to seeing you all soon. Take care!

Hmmmm... That must have been a while ago! I think the only shell I was in with Blueice was Melody, and that shell is now gone and and replaced with something else.

I am from Seraph. I am thinking of coming back but not sure who is around still. I remember playing some endgame events with Catwho, Blueice, Markas. I also played with JusticeBlade, Scree, Ninjahotel, and a few others. I think I played with Tassene as well, a brd? I just noticed today that Seraph is now on Bismarck.
#23 Aug 12 2012 at 9:07 AM Rating: Good
Yeah, we got merged a while ago. Lots of folks still around, though.

Hi Arkhira-

I remember you, one of the few Darks that could actually stun something on purpose and not by accident.

I'm still here, though I don't do brd anymore. I kind of quit that when the mazurka nerf was patched in. I actually got a job to 75 if you can believe that. I just run around on bst now not really doing anything other than campaign and pretty much nothing else. RL still gets in the way of doing anything endgame.

I did get my PhD in Neurology, though. ^^/b No more school just lots more work.

All the people I knew in game are gone now. Everyone from Mystic Knights has left with most going to WoW, Skyrim, FF14 and others. Mhy, Demon, Twista, Ming, Sylph, Scottyboy, Kreacher, Justiceblade, Emoria/ Luthien/ Luthian are gone now. Our JP friends, too. Most of those went to Bahamut with the server merges. If you look around, there will still be some left from some of the endgame shells. I still see some of those people running around. Jinirin, Catwho, Laylina, etc.

If you decide to come back, you're in for a mild shock 'cause this is a completely different game from what you'll remember.

Hello Seraph Bachola here

I've been getting an itch to play FFXI for a little while, Tonight I'll be removing the dust off my disks and start downloading updates, I've been away for almost 2 years but still see a few familiar faces still playing ingame via FFXIAH.

Looking forward to logging on

Bach.

Welcome back!

I'd actually suggest that instead of using the old disks, go ahead and grab a fresh copy of the game that includes the Abyssea expansions. It's twenty bucks on Amazon, but the individual expansions are $10 each, so it actually saves you ten dollars over using the old disks and buying them separately. You can apply the license to your existing POL account.

FYI all billing changes and such are now done through the Square Enix account system, rather than Playonline, so you can get that squared away before you even install the game. That's also where you will apply your new license keys.
