I read about it either yesterday or the day before. It sounded legit. I remember hearing about something similar a while back with them finding security keys for the games potentially making it possible to create a duplicate that was playable on an unmodified machine. But around that time I left the "scene" (due to time constraints, not any moral standpoint) and stopped following developments.
