600 to fire resist and I was still getting hit, but resisting more than getting hit. Once I got hit though it doesn't matter what your resist is. You'll have the AE on you for 4 minutes. I did happen to dispell the AE though when casting dispell on myself. One suggestion is to keep top buff slot open and have 3-4 dummy buffs up top, when AE does hit you, dispell and recast buffs.
