Anyone able to explain just what this disc does?

It adds a chance to proc when you get hit by mobs, the effect when procced increases damage output of the berserker using the disc by 40% for a few seconds each proc... All in all nearly worthless due to the low proc rate and long reuse time on the disc, and the fact berserkers arent really a tank class.
berserkers aren't really a tank class?

Not sure about you but my 65 berserker tanks all the time. No we aren't as good at it as some of the higher geared plate classes but with a shaman slower and cleric healer i have very few problems tanking even the hard ldon adventures with no elemental/GoD/OOW gear. Tanking as a berserker is very doable in most situations.

I can second that. I have been the tank since level 1, and with 65shammy 65cleric 65Zerker, I have no problem tanking, holding agro, or surviving.

Aye... I now have a level 65 Berzerker and he actually tanks better than many sk's / war / pallies... he does have some pretty decent gear and buffs up to around 9.5k / 1450 but the major difference is how they can control agro... soon as the mob arrives in camp... nobody gets hit cept the zerker. Even when the necro is snaring at 100%, the mob doesn't even look over at him. So yes, with the right gear, zerkers rule as tanks.
