Just wanted to let everyone know that this does stack w/ Scent of Terris. This spell will land on almost any mob, and once pr is debuffed, scent of terris will land fairly easily too (unless the mob is rediculously high in pr). With this and terris on the mob necros can pretty much have a field day. I really like to use it on mobs like mshas in qvic.. without pr/dr/fr debuffs pretty much nothing will stick except lifetaps, and our horror/dn line.. with both in though all of our dots stick pretty much every time.. hope this helps

Try raiding some GoD and OoW content before resigning this spell to being useless, it is useful and it does make a difference. The lack of a fire debuff component is negligable as the previous spells in the Scent line did not stack with Druid debuffs.

I have to agree that this spell is actually quite useful. Not to mention how much more interesting it has made PvP =). -200 to DR check makes it land a lot on PC's as well.

As for GoD and OoW content - big help since PR and DR is high on many mobs in MPG and WoS, etc.

true true but by the time you could cast and land this spell on the mob most fights are about halfway done, yes this is good debuff but i would rather cast nukes and dots to finish the mob faster.
WTF !

WTf is this !
why?
# Aug 27 2004 at 7:21 AM Rating: Default
Why did they even make this spell it will basicly never be used pluss its nerfed no fire res. If you wanted to give a necro a spell that is an upgrade then they should have left the fire effect on it at min. A true upgrade would have had a magic res reducer something a necro actually needs what a waist of time and effort. As a 450 aa necro i can honestly say that this spell is basicly useless unless there is a big res nerf with oow that we dont know about . GAY

I'm glad they got rid of the fire portion to this spell... It wouldn't stack with Druid resist debuffs before, now it will.

I play on SZ, cant use thier fire debuff so we used necros. Now we dont get one.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 14 2004 at 9:44 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) upgrade? They removed the fooking fire debuff!!!!
RE: WTF??

Scent of terris is a poison based spell with a resist modifier of 0. This is a Disease spell with a resist modifier of -200. We call that an upgrade.
When was debuffing fire ever useful? If fire dots won't stick to a mob, debuffing them with scent never made them stick. I'm very excited about this spell, looks very promising.

Wheres the magic debuff?
# Jul 26 2004 at 3:29 PM Rating: Default
We do need a magic debuff would help for hcarming a mob and not only that but all of our SUPER spells are magic based along with snare and curse line of spells is resisted quit alot i think this should be updated to having magic de-buff as well.

Umm I don't know about you, but out of all the omens spells I've seen for necros so far this is probably the one I'm most excied about... why? you ask... well from the looks of it this is the only long overdue upgrade we are getting... I mean all of our 66-70 spells are just straight recycles of our PoP (61-65) spells.. our other scent lines of spells have resist checks of poison(0).. this has a resist check of disease -200... which means that it will get resisted next to never... although our best dps dots and darkness lines of spells are mr based being able to land our new staple nuke which is pr based, and our pr/dr dots much easier now is welcome imo
sucky debuff

Looks like a mistake

Look at the Greater Immobilize spell....same classes, same levels, mana, etc. Could just be a mistake in reading the spells file.

Just a thought...

Haven't heard of this spell before. Anyone know where it comes from? Please don't tell me it's a LDoN spell.
