Just wanted to fill out my spell book so did this quest today. As you can buy the gold bar in POK (and other places) and at level 50 (60) you can charm a miner (dire charm) so it is an easy quest that is safe. I used my war merc and the dire charmed miner (any that are green in zone at level 60 are DC ready) to clear out about 20 miners before I got the two gleaming ores.
The only problem with the spell is the spell gem stays grayed out for about 5 minutes once you mem it .....
Spell casting reinforcement AA did not seem to have any effect to lenghten the duration past one minute.
But 500 mana for 5 mana cast is nice and at level 60 with KEI this spell give you a total of about 100 mana a tic. (50 + 50) about

FYI for Yokka yes the Dizzy spell decreases target mana by 50 per tick, However the big difference is it does NOT give it to you like Trespass does. This is a Mana tap spell Dizzy is NOT.

This spell could not be cast on my target in PvP which I thought is odd since Theft of Thought can.

This spell is less similar to Theft of Thought than it is to Wandering Mind, because it's a dot I guess... Wandering Mind cannot be used in PvP either. I don't know why they can't. /shrug

I thought the level 29 spell,"Dyn's Dizzying Draught" would be better, because it did more:
1: SpinStun
2: Decrease AC by 9 (L29) to 15 (L49)
3: Decrease Mana by 50 per tick
4: Decrease AGI by 30 (L29) to 50 (L49)
But it only lasts 2 ticks/150 mana, as opposed to Scryer's Trespass's 1 min/ 5 mana.

Hand the 2 ores and the enchanted gold bar to Ofala and she will give you A DIMLY GLOWING RING and a note (to her brother Stofo)..take these to Erudin and hand to him and he hands you the scroll

This can be MQed, an enchanted gold bar can be handed in by the Chanter and the ores can be MQed.

Here is a list of the new researchable spells for Enchanters and the components required. This list if compiled from the various books available from one of the Research vendors in the new Gulf of Gunthak zone. There are two Research vendors that carry books covering new Enchanter, Mage, Wizard and Necromancer research spells and their various component combinations. There is quite a lot of text in the books associated with the spells and the masters that devised them that is not covered in this page. Hopefully this list is complete and correct and will be of some use.
Researcher Alvarik is at loc 1367, 77 in the Gulf of Gunthak. His Assistant has the tomes regarding Enchanter research and is located in the same hut.
You say, 'Hail, Researcher Alvarik'
Researcher Alvarik says 'Hello there. Are you too a student of the arcane?'
You say, 'I am a student of the arcane'
Researcher Alvarik says 'Excellent. I hold myself as a master of researching the arcane. Even though I study mainly in the art of wizardry, I still carry the tomes of the other realms. If you are a master of research and would like to borrow a copy of the research tome, let me know what school of magic you belong to and I may be able to help you out. If you look at the raw spell data, you will notice it is from 'Test' ... meaning it's not on the live servers yet. That also means it may never go live, it's only being tested right now ; )

When you see the source of test it does not mean that it is still being tested. I have looked atspells that are live and they all say test on them.

btw best spell in enc arsinal right under c mez and charm.. try fighting in a place with some casters, like dulak, or if your on pvp server you can pay someone to sit out of the way and let you eAt hiS bWAAINsss... guaranteed you wont run out of mana less your killing by nuking stuff.
