480 mana cost, 600 hp per tick heal
this spell is good

this spell is good for your tank ( if you haven't figured out already). doing full heals (with good timing) you shouldn't need this spell. cast this spell when you're group has "adds" and your secondary melee needs some help. it holds the agro down on yourself.
4ticks = 5heals?

I just rechecked my belief that 4tick HoT spells really do 5 ticks of healing. Without any AA and no focus gear, I still got 800pts of heals from Stoicism 5 out of 7 times. It lasted 4 ticks all 7 trials. Im using the default UI.

It may have something to with whether or not you cast on the cusp of the tick (but I didn't notice any connection). Or it may be random.

Anyone else find this occuring to the cleric HoTs?

EDIT: After some experimenting in a safe, controlled environment I think I see a pattern. When the HoT such as Torpor or Stoicism lands within the first couple of seconds after the tick goes off, I get the 5th extra tick of heal. I have also noticed my Shammy DoTs do the same type of thing(an extra tick of damage). I'd like to hear if this works for anyone else.

I've noticed that there is that extra tick quite often... I believe the duration is something like 28 seconds, so it catches 4 ticks 1/3 of the time, and 5 ticks 2/3 of the time, you just have to be lucky, and don't count on it.
Incorrect Duration

This information is flat wrong -- Duration is 5 ticks, not 4, and it heals 2500 HP. Duration is less than 30 and more than 24 seconds, the best I can tell. My theory is that the first 500 heal hits on the first full tick counter after it is cast.

There may also be confusion on what happens on the 5th tick. Cast it on yourself in a controlled environment. You'll get 4 ticks with the heal. On the 5th tick, your hp will go up another 500, then a second later will go back down. During a fight, you might see the 5th tick and attribute the accompanying loss of hp to battle damage. Why it does this, I have no clue.

No its 4 ticks @ 500 a tick.

I suspect you have Ext enhancemnt of some sort, the shawl or AA maybe, that increases by 20% hence 4 x 1.2 = 5 ticks not 4 and the 2500 heal.

Please check and post an update to clarify :)

Not sure about all the HoTs but i do know that Shammy HoT Stoicism also states 4ticks but heals for 5 times. Prolly just the data's way of stating that it heals on the beginning of first tick and also the end of last tick... thus giving 5 heals.
