Advantage

The unmentioned advantage to the Virtue/zealot combo is that yaulp does not work 9/7. The mana regen gained with Y5&6 is well worth a few less hp.
Besides clerics need to put their armor to good use and show everyone just how much dammage they can put out.

pretty good spell

this spell is pretty competive. it lasts quite a while. it's pretty expensive in the bazaar i know. bleesing of the 9th give gives just one more tick of mana, but remember this, when you have armor of zealot YOU have control not anyone else. you can cast it whenever you damn well please. that has weight in my book.

The only advantage I see to PoT9 is that it stacks with Fo7.

PoT9, Fo7, SoK and the ac buff add up to more HP, more AC, and the same mana regen.

Since I usually don't have both a shaman, and a druid in my group with me, I typically use HoV/AoZ. However, on the off chance I have a druid and shaman there, I will take the other setup.

For the rest of the group, its much better, since my buffs for them do not add mana regen. For me its a little more AC/HP in case I get aggro.

But, ad i said, having three wis casters in one group[ is unusual, especially since I usually group with a chanter, so most of the time HoV/AoZ is the way I go.
Raid Buffs

So what's more effective in a raid situation with every buff at your disposal? Since this doesn't stack with Focus would it be smarter to use Focus/9/Kazad like most casters or is this like the paladin self buffs where it gives you more HP with Virtue? Thanks in advance

IF you have BOTH druid and shaman buffs available, You are better off with them.

PoT9 + Fo7 + Symbol of Kazad + ward of gallantry

have more HP/ac and same mana regen as

HoV + AoTZ

Note that NEITHER PoT9 or Fo7 stack with AoTZ

The only advantage to the HoV/AoTZ setup is spell duration. They both are 2 hr 40 min spells, which is basically double the duration of the PoT9/Fo7.

Stacking?

Are you sure about the Pot9 stacking with AotZ? My BAotR doesn't stack with PoT9 (or Fo7 for that matter), and it appears that AotZ is in the same 'line' as BAotR.

Further supporting this challenge is the inclusion of Pot9 on the list of spells that do not stack with AotZ on lucy.

Can anyone confirm the stacking?
