The purpose of this spell is not to use over your heals. It's meant to be used with your heals. Pretty basic concept, that I see people not grasping. Before battle you apply Divine purpose. This acts as a Regen based heal but slowly drains Mana. With crack it'll merely slow down your Mana Regen in combat, with c2/3 the loss is negligible. Plus it stacks with Dru/Sha regens only amplifying it, slowing down the need for a heal, or buying you time for a heal to land. It's not meant to be used in place of healing as I saw someone suggest, it's meant to be used in conjunction with. It's basically a very low permanent hot (which I say bc it's continuously draining Mana). Someone also mentioned that it will drain your mana still at 100 health.. yeah, turn it off. Cast when a pull is inc. if you are the puller I'm assuming you got a speed buff from someone, run back to camp and cast. There's often a small wait for mobs to actually catch up.

First it cost 3mana to heal for 8HP for a ratio of 2.67 HP/per mana. And mana preservation or IMp healing won't affect this.
Our lvl 36 heal wil heal for 350 for only 115mana for a ratio of 3.04 HP/per mana. And if you have Imporved healing and/or mana preservation its even betther.
Also often you wil be full HP and this spell would continue to drain you 3mana a tick even if you can't be heaed by the regen.
This is weird to make a Self HP reen spell costing more mana then a targatable healing spell.

While this spell is a drain on mana, during this period many paladins are now tanking for groups and even this excessive ratio is better during battle periods then having to try to cast greater heal in combat lowering your aggro. Now if your solo'n then its a different story as you have to heal yourself and keep a modest pool of mana whilst doing it. Remember mana potions, haste potions and the like and all this talk about the regeneration buff will seem mute. The new expansion TSS has proven without a doubt that mana regeneration for low levels is out there and in decent numbers and quanity. Look for them.

bought this spell off Thurg, good spell when your tanking.. thurg can be found near the clerics guild in the big room which seems to be a city meeting or an auction house of some sort

Only there. Go out and visit the world. From PoK, take the Great Divide stone, follow the north edge of the zone to the west and that should lead you to Thurgadin.
Is this part of the new expansion?
I have the regen I aug from the BB camp in and i use this, the regen is very nice, esp with C3, I was in EW last night hunting for a coldain ring, and i had this on most of the time, and when i was below 40, and had the mana, i would hit myself with a blast of Ethereal Cleansing and then go into battle.
Does anyone know if it stacks with Shammy/Druid regen spells? that would be some nice regen if so.

This spell is nice. Use it while medding for a slow regen or run it all the time when C3'ed (never let them see ya bleed!).
It's also good for any 18 minute timed mobs; just recast it after the mob goes down and when Divine Purpose runs out ya got about three minutes to get ready.

this spell can be bought in Thurg by loremaster dor.. one of the ones on the stage in cleric guild or in iceland ocean in the village
