The spell also has a change to proc the following 3 effects on the wizard for 8 ticks according to lucy but I think its less.

Concussive Chill : http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=10887&source=Live

Concussive Flames : http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=10886&source=Live

Concussive Magic : http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=10888&source=Live

Each one does the following for that particular spell line,

1: Decrease Spell/Bash Hate by 100%
2: Limit: Max Level(75) (lose 10% per level over cap)
3: Limit: Effect(Hitpoints allowed)
4: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed
5: Limit: Resist(Magic allowed)

I'm no Wizard, and don't play one, but I could swear that those are the effects from the Concussive Blast spell...

But that's just me.

correct.

the only Feedback from cloudburst strike is:
Cloudburst Strike Feedback
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 457 per tick
2: Root

The root portion makes this a Very bad choice for soloing - stick to just the fire/ice instant cast nuke if you wanna use a instant cast nuke for kiting. The root portion can get you killed easily.
love the spell

I've had this spell for quite awhile now and use it quite often and haven't been hit once. That isn't to say that it doesn't hit the caster -- it DOES..but I've found it very useful. I love it. Hurts soloing yes, but also can improve it to a certain extent. Slap a spell absorb damage on ya, get some heal pots, max your crit AAs.
Soloing Spell?

The Stun effect would hurt soloing because it's feedback against the caster that has the stun effect...not on the mob. It has definitely hurt me soloing just not to the point of getting killed........yet

Can this spell be used to solo or is the stun effect too long?

Why would a longer stun effect "hurt" soloing?

Thanks for the aswer, I could understand completely now how this would hurt soloing. I bet the devs put that effect in, because they feared Wizzies would solo too well with the new downtime regen.

Actually it more like a root. You can still cast while this effect is on you.
The other nice thing about this you can cast it on the run. IF you do get the feedback and looks like your gonna get beat on just face a safe direction and Cast impell it will still launch you while your under the feedback effect.
