does this only trigger if you get the kill or does it work if some one in your group gets the credit for the kill?

Does anyone know the difference between rank 1 and rank 2 is.. not seeing much real difference in the spell descriptions and so forth. Any info would be appreciated.
It looks like they are the same, but the each trigger their own remorseful effect.
ie:
Remorse for the Fallen = Remorseful Effect
1: Increase Healing by 60%
2: Limit: Max Level(75) (lose 10% per level over cap)
3: Limit: Effect(Hitpoints allowed)
4: Limit: Instant spells only
5: Limit: Spell Type(Beneficial only)
6: Limit: Effect(Percentage Heal excluded)
7: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed

1: Increase Healing by 80%
2: Limit: Max Level(75) (lose 10% per level over cap)
3: Limit: Effect(Hitpoints allowed)
4: Limit: Instant spells only

6: Limit: Effect(Percentage Heal excluded)
7: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed
