guys.... when you riposte... it doesnt say "you riposte for xxx DMG"... it says they attack but you riposte... then you get an extra attack, with a normal attack message. so if you werent attacking and you successfully riposte, it will say,
"%t tried to hit you, but you riposte!"
"you slash %t for xxx points of damage."

Easiest way to explain this skill...riposte basicly means that that attack by the mob does no dmg to you and you basicly take that attack from the mob and return it doing whatever your weapons normal dmg is. Free dmg from a mob trying to hit you while totally avoiding the dmg the mobs attack could have done. As far as the riposte discs...i find using the highest dmg 2hander you have is the way to go..

At what skill level do you actually return with an attack while riposting? At a skill of 120 i have yet to do it, I'm guess 150, but some confirmation would be nice. As of yet it has been little more than an extra blocking skill.
does ripost give a damage message or does it just say "a %T tried to hit you, but you riposted."

does this only work on peicing weapons or something cos at lvl70 i hav yet to reposte once and thats from lvl25-26 so there has been alot of fighting :/

On night I went AFK for about 20 minutes with my rogue. I sat him down to regen some HP. A green con saw me sitting and attacked while I was AFK. My Riposte skill is 200. It was funny to read the screen message when I came back and saw that the MOB had killed itself on me just from my Ripostes.
