Bane DMG is generally added onto a weapon... such as Vampyre, Grimling, etc... it just adds that damage to the weapon if you're fighting that specific creature For instance:
8/20 Bane DMG: Grimling 4 = 8/20 when fighting a Sarnak (Or anything other than a Grimling)
8/20 Bane DMG: Grimling 4 = 12/20 when fighting a Grimling.
It's not super hard to understand, but way cool when it actually is applied :)
