I'veonly been playing everquest a couple of weeks now and i have two chareters. I have a level 10 rogue(my Favorite) and a level 14 Paladin. I heard that that these cats could be rogues if thats true, that would be cool, sence most cats would have high dex and agi unless there fat cats like Garfeild. Another thing this is going to awsome once they comeout with horses, i mean it'll put sow out of buisness but, you get to ride a horse that would be cool.

actually the horses are beleived to be around 100k so it wont neccesarrily put it out business this is what i read off another post last night so when ur really high youll see those kinda ppl ridin em and horses for whoever might be a twink or even a friend got him/her one so jus to tell ya it wotn put sow outta business! ceot for high ppl of course )

Actually, like everyone else has already said, horses will range from 9000pp to 15000pp. Also, paladins and shadowknights (I think Shadowknights, not sure though) will be able to summon low-end horses, most likely temporarily. The whole paladins-summoning-horses thing will be familiar to anyone who's ever played D&D. Of course, 9000pp is still a lot of money (to me at least, and I certainly hope I don't get a bunch of jackasses posting stuff like '9000pp isn't a lot you're poor!')

I think that the mages should be able to summon the horses because that is what they do, and besides mages need a good spell that no one else has b/c almost every spell that a mage has, someone else has. But that is what I think. Oh and rogues are not that great, Magicians are!!!

The Vah Shir i based morely in Stamina then aynthing else. Pretty stragne and in Charisma. But it will be cool to try them out.
How do you know? Not saying that you don't, just curious of where you got this info. If I were the person/people who say what they're based on, I'd make 'um Dex/Agi/Int. More so dex/agi because that's what real cats are. I wouldn't say dex except that's what makes you fast (yeah, Verant made dex the speed giver and not agi, go figure). I would make them average, if not low, sta because (cheetahs are a good example) cats are very fast, but only for short distances. Just what I think. Whadda you think?

um... yeah i was looking at the stats on a piece of armor and saw the race restriction was VAH... i was pretty confused at first cause i didn't know SoL was even out yet, let alone had people playing them... i haven't seen any on Fennin Ro as of yet.

I think they should only be able to be class that can wear a full set of plate armor because I think that is how they show off their honor and pride in their society. All of the pictures i have seen so far all are wearing plate breastplates and a shild. Just because there is going to be a new class and a new race dosnt mean the new class should be able to play the new race. Shamans and beastlords are witch doctors and the vah shir just dont seem that there a barbaric race. There a high class race. And there magic abilities are based on wisdom and god worship so they shouldnt be inteligence casters. Thats just what i think.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm flaming you, but... how exactly do you know all that stuff about showing off honor and pride and being a high class race?
I think that he/she is saying that because when you think of a cat (at least when I do) you think of a very... what's the word... "I'm beautiful and you're not" type of animal. Then again, you could argue the other way that they ARE animals. But, to make it simple, we should just wait until Verant gives us the information to calm our curiosity or until it comes out (if Verant wants to be a pain in our @$$ and keep it a secret).

Since they are a noble race, shouldnt they be able to be paladins and clerics?
How do you know that Vah Shir... LMAO, srry, just did a typo and put Vah Shi*... anyway, how do you know they are a noble race? Like I said above, you can compare cats to other animals (where they would be more noble) or you can compare animals to human-like races (they're animals and animals go by instinct, which is kill or be killed). So, you either have a total "barbaric" race (melee type warrior/rogue things) or you have very noble, honorable race (pallies, clerics, etc.).

Well...one thing is for sure, there will be a whole lot of territorial pissing going on all around the EQ world. Maybe they can even make cat spraying into a lingering DOT based trap set only by the cats. "You have been Sparayed ! i think that there will be a way to get to Luclin without a teleport of any kind, and it'll be the gnomes. it will be just like catching the boat to freeport from butcherblock, or any other sailing ship, except it'll be in space, not sure how they're gonna work out the story, but it'll be great.

from reading some of these it seems to me thaty people have all ready played this??? also if you are not sure if you like cat race take main character (not vah shir) to luclin and ask around and check the zones out!!!

I've never played a Val Shir (yet) but i'm looking forward to one, but before I make one I would like to know a few things about them the thought of playing a cat brings ALOT of excitement to me, so if anyone out there who knows alot about them please can you give me some info on them I would apreciate that lot.

Anyone know if the Vah Shir will have monk as a character class? I didn't see it below, but it's got to be, since beastlord is half monk half shaman, supposedly. And come on, haven't you ever seen declawed cats box? They're UBER!

The Vah Shir are supposedly going to be able to be the following: Beastlords, Bards, Rogues, Warriors, Shamans.

i am wondering what factions are going to be.. adn this race sounds good.. but remember there will always .. ALWAYS be a catch this one would be huge faction lost maby.. or bad exp's.. and i know i a rambling maby it wil amke u think so have fun with this.. i heard thye cna be monks and that barbarians and another race will get the beastlord class... i think they would make a great monk... i also heard some SWEET *** ARMOR IS COMING.. i am preynig they put in 3 new 40 hell and 45 hell zones.. and i heard theres a port spot somewhere adn then rest is drudi and wizzie!!

Anyone find anything about these? I have seen guess at Infarvision and a Safefall ability (paralleling Iksar swiming ability). What about Duel wield? I thought I saw something about fighting based on claws (would it be safe to assume that means claws as in on both paws? or would Claws mean the claw on each digit of primary hand?).
Hopeing that Varent is able to release Lucin in November instead of December.
