This task is obtained from Derakor the Vindicator in Kael Drakkel (ToV) at /loc -320, -5, -154 near the far northern section of the zone past the arena.

You say, 'Hail, Derakor the Vindicator.'

Derakor the Vindicator says, 'Hello tiny creature. You look like any of your kind, I suppose. Perhaps we have met before, I do not know. No matter, I am pleased that you have found your way here through these,' he waves his hand at the restless corpses banging on the barrier or wandering the grounds outside, 'unfortunate people. I will personally remove the head of the coldain or dragon or whatever creature has caused this. Until that time I must stand guard here to protect those of us that [remain].'

You say, 'Remain.'

Derakor the Vindicator says, 'Not many of us have survived. Not only do we face the greatest warriors ever born, but they are already dead. No enemy could be more dangerous. We few have been able to survive here, and I can only hope that others have found defensible locations. Our situation is ultimately untenable. Every one that falls becomes an enemy. We have been forced to burn our dead. It is a horrible insult to such great warriors, but we have no other option if we are to survive. If the number of restless dead is not [reduced], we will all join their ranks.'

You say, 'Reduced.'

Derakor the Vindicator says, 'We really could use your assistance in that effort. We are a wise people and honor our dead with proper ritual and reverence. Anyone disrupting the bodies of our dead is treated harshly. Our people do not cause harm to those that have battled their last before us. Even now we hesitate to harm them, and that hesitation has cost us several lives. I cannot order my men out to destroy their friends and heroes. I would be grateful if you could apply your [skills] to reducing the horde.'

Derakor the Vindicator says, 'You must have skills to have come so far through the restless dead. Any small assistance you can offer would be appreciated.'

Derakor has taken it upon himself to defend the King and stand in the way of the horde of restless dead. However, he shares the Kromrif and Kromzek reverence for their dead and finds it very distasteful to hack them up. So, he has asked you to return some of the restless dead citizens of Kael to their proper just plain dead state.
