I went down the path, killed the first sarnak on it, and pulled the chokidai in front of the first gate (used cc). You can invis past the first gate area to the second one where the meat drops, but doing it requires watching the wandering see invis mobs (chokidai). They follow a beastmaster, so it's not too difficult. You can use the stone walls next to the path past the first gate area to avoid them as well and get over the wall to the second (have lev on, climb the wall, float over). You can kill a basilisk (lavalisk) down below the path next to the lava stream just in front of the second gate (on the north side, to the right). There are two drops for the first part of the task! Have a campfire set up to get back quickly (I set mine at the entrance zone in spot). Gated out, did Crestra hail, campfired back in. You can repeat the first steps to get the basilisk and chokidai drops. Then I went back to the second gate wall area. Luckily, a fereth mob was up in front, so I floated over to the area right of the gate and single pulled it for its drop. Then I went back to the other side to get higher up on the stone wall, floated back over to clear the gate wall, and set up in an area with four mobs to the right next to the building directly behind the second gate (meat and soup broilers, two citizens). Used cc to mez while getting meat drop, then cleared it. There is a Kar zok nearby for the blood, but you have a wandering sarnak to kill, then a wandering beastmaster and chokidai, Once that is done, gate out and go make the upgraded earring! Crestra is an alaran located in The Overthere at +2392, +1778 on the docks. At the end of the previous quest: Crestra says, 'This is an improvement, but I don't want to miss any possible element that will give me the perfect earring. I have more information on the next region, so the scouting tasks will be less than some of the previous tasks, but I still have a bit for you to do in [Gorowyn].' You say, 'Gorowyn' You have been assigned the task 'Gorowyn Wares'. Crestra says, 'I hear that Gorowyn is a sarnak town of some sort. I did hear that there are some chokidai and basilisks there. Please go and examine them and come back and tell me about the [fauna] in Gorowyn.' Kill 1 Chokidai 0/1 Gorowyn Kill 1 Basilisk 0/1 Gorowyn Converse with Crestra about the [fauna] in Gorowyn. You say, 'Hail, Crestra' Crestra says, 'So is the [fauna] in Gorowyn interesting?.' You say, 'There isn't much fauna at all as the region is volcanic.' Crestra says, 'So did you find anything unique about the [Gorowyn chokidai]?' You say, 'A little bit. They are cared for, so their scales are shinier, and they are red instead of green, but otherwise they are normal.' Crestra says, 'Care and feeding does make a difference. So, what is [a basilisk]?' You say, 'A basilisk is a six-legged lizard. It's rumored to turn people to stone like the cockatrice, though I never experienced that. They have good scales and spines and a stone that may be the source of their petrification ability, if it is real.' Crestra says, 'Okay. Well, I would like some things from the sarnak. Convince them however you feel best to give you what I need. With some pieces from the Chokidai, basilisk, and sarnak, one can make a more [intricate earring.]' You say, 'intricate earring' You have learned the recipe Crestra's Intricate Earring! Your task 'Gorowyn Wares' has been updated. Crestra says, 'Acquire Chokidai Crest Plate, Basilisk Crest Spine, Broiled Meat, Fereth Rhodium, and Kar'Zok Blood. From these base materials, create [Chokidai Leather Stamping Surface], [Basilisk Spine Earring Hook], [Magic Touched Fereth Rhodium], [Ontogenic Planar Energy]. Use these four items to upgrade your ornate earring.' You say, 'Why do I even need a Chokidai Leather Stamping Surface?' Crestra says, 'I this case you need a surface that's compatible with the basilisk spine, or it will damage the spine while you assemble the earring. Once everything is complete it becomes more stable. And the Chokidai Leather Stamping Surface is simple to make. Shape the Chokidai Crest Plate in a sewing kit or loom with sculpting tools.' You say, 'How do I make a Basilisk Spine Earring Hook' Crestra says, 'Use a whittling blade and the tools at hand in a fletching kit or fletching table to shape the spine into a nice earring hook.' You say, 'Why is Magic Touched Fereth Rhodium only 'touched?'' Crestra says, 'Because you are not going to soak it in magic, you are simply going to pour a vial of purified mana over the Rhodium in a mixing bowl.' At the end of the quest, I turned in the Earring and a Broiled Meat in one exchange window. I followed the succession of comments with appropriate responses, none of which related to more Meat, as I observed. I turned in the second Broiled Meat. She returned it.

I just did this task. I don't know what the task said before but right now the relevant steps are.

and

So the line in the quest description that says "You will need 2 of these. You will need 1 later in Gorowyn." doesn't make sense and should be removed.
Also the lines:
Give her 1 Broiled Meat.
and
Crestra takes the meat and eats it. A look of satisfaction crosses alir face. 'That is very tasty meat. Thank you.'
should both be moved directly underneath the step to "Deliver 1 Broiled Meat to Crestra"
Also Crestra is Alaran which have no gender, so maybe change the instruction from "Give her 1 Broiled Meat." to "Give Crestra 1 Broiled Meat."

Prior to the patch this week, you could have the items pre-looted and give them to a merc or trade via toons and the task would update, THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE. You need to be at the very specific part in the task for collectibles, and loot the item yourself.

You have to be in the proper zone for that to work, but you can still pre loot and trade to merc or pet
Funny thing, did it today and used pre looted items without an issue.
