My Gnome Warrior (started from Heroic) has Ally faction with Geddis to start, but he won't sell me the Meteorite Mining Pick. Is his sale inventory locked behind progression? I obviously have high enough faction, and none of his dialogue choices give me anything except offering me his quest.
Update: After completing Bad Horses, I was able to buy the Meteorite Mining Pick. So having appropriate faction level and completion of that quest seems to be what you need to unlock his inventory to buy.

Find Domina Caelestis in Scorched Woods, she is near the Lceanium zone line. Say "Leverage" to get the task. “The Combine wants to research the meteorite further. Collect Scorched Meteorite Chunks from burynai near the crash site. Head Taskmaster Geddis may be willing to help friends acquire chunks of the meteorite peacefully as well.†Either kill burynais and loot Scorched Meteorite Chunks, or buy a Meteorite Mining Pick from Head Taskmaster Geddis and use it. “The centaur in the region keep rigorous notes of the local animals and flora. Their logs will provide a lot of data for Combine scientists to use when analyzing the effects of the meteorite here. Collect Scorched Watcher Logs from centaur East of the crash site. Helenus Politi may be willing to help friends acquire the logs peacefully.†Either kill centaurs and loot Scorched Watcher Logs, or hail Helenus Politi and he will give you 4. Amiable faction with Majestic Centurion Alliance should be enough to get him to talk to you. Killing Burynai and doing the merc quest by the centaurs will raise Majestic Centurion Alliance faction. Kill insects. Hail her. She’s at the statue of an Iksar straight in from the FM zone line at -1490, -2561. Hail her. He tells you he is about to be attacked and that you should tell him when you are [ready]. Three waves of iksar skeletons -â€a disturbed ancestor†(2/2/4) - spawn. They are dark blue at 105 and can be mezzed. Kill the waves. Inside the outer wall of the fortress at loc 6344, -4326. Hail him, and say “Who are you?â€. Go through the dialogue until you get to [ready]. Three waves of Chardok Gnomeslaver's (1/2/3) attack. Dark blue. Enchanter mezzable. Can be snared and punted. Hail her. Hail and follow dialog. Two rounds of giants attack. First round, one giant. Second round, 4 giants. On the last wave a Combine pally shows up and kicks ass. You do not have to deal with all four giants. You can buff Gorga as you like, and let them beat on her, while you kill just one of the giants. At that point Lcea will arrive and kill the rest of them in an instant. Click the scepter now in your inventory for the update. This is on the elevated walkway between the main fort and the Southern tower. Hail and dialog. Lcea shows up and the two of them walk to the Southern tower. Follow her to the tower, she will ‘negotiate’ with the giants there with a lengthy discussion that ends with her killing two of them. He’s the only one of the three left standing. Scholar Greagor is dark blue and has 13 - 14 million HP. Somehow Lcea has lost her dps ability, so it is all up to you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I am Amiable with both Centaurs and Burynai.
Head Taskmaster Geddis said "You need to prove your dedication to our cause before I can discuss such matters with you." When clicking on him and opening his store window, no Scorched Meteorite Chunks were available.
Helenus Politi simply said "Begone, foul Gnome!"
Got a High Elf Illusion, which raised my Centaur faction to "Warmly." Then when I hailed Helenus he said "Greetings friend. How may we [aid] you today?" When I clicked [aid] he gave me the Scorched Watcher Logs (x4) and updated my task.
No Illusion I tried helped raise the Burynai faction. They either stayed the same, or dropped to Indifferent, or Dubious. If anyone found an illusion that actually raises Burynai faction, hopefully they will post it...

I am getting a message from Domina Caelestis "You should return to Lceanium and seek out tasks to do there before returning" I haven't finished up the "contacting the Leadership" quest , so i think there are prerequisites for getting this task

This is definitely a DPS check, He has a lot of HPs and you are on a short clock. Make sure you pull scholar as far as possible away from spawn point. You are going to get a couple adds as there is no time to pre clear with script running and 2-3 roaming DB giants on platform. The other 2 named yellow con giants will repop in around 5-7 minutes. If you are still engaged those will add and make a mess.

The Sarnaks that attack when defending Opp are called Chardok Gnomeslavers. They have 9.5m HP's, roughly, quite a bit more than average Sarnaks.
They are easily Enchanter mezzable.

it is now two waves one of 1 one of 4. You do not have to deal with all four giants. You can buff Gorga as you like, and let them beat on her, while you kill just one of the giants. At that point Lcea will arrive and kill the rest of them in an instant. With Shaman and cleric unity, and occasional delayed heals, Gorga never got below about 55% health.
- Use Gorga’s Seismo Scepter near her.

During beta testing I reported the faction issue with Helenus Politi, which was that no faction was good enough. This got adjusted after I prepared the write up. The faction needed is now Amiable. You can increase faction with the centaurs by killing burynai or by doing the merc quest given by the centaurs.
