To request this mission, you need to speak to Lashun Novashine in Plane of Health.
The keyword to request this mission is 'finish'.

      Task Steps

    • Discover the true nature of Anashti Sul 0/1 (Crypt of Sul)

    • Open Chest 0/1 (Crypt of Sul)

    • Task Summary

Upon acquiring the mission from Lashun Novashine, you will be selecting the 'Adventure' instance for Crypt of Sul. When you zone into Crypt of Sul, you will see Anashti Sul standing all by her lonesome. This is a tough fight and is broken down into four different phases, each phase having its own unique mechanic. After you defeat Anashti Sul, a chest will spawn and you win!

      Engaging Anashti Sul

It is absolutely not recommended to attempt this mission unless you have a full group with a real player healer. Anashti Sul hits like a truck. She averages for about 40k, is very fast, and will strike through defenses very regularly - so make certain you have a competent tank! You are going to need someone to slow her or at least use an item that will proc a slow to help mitigate her onslaught of attacks. There are four phases to this fight, in which Anashti Sul will shift forms three different times.

      The Phases

    • Phase 1: Lady of Life
    • >> The first phase, you will encounter Anashti Sul, the Lady of Life. At 90% she will cast mark on herself that needs to be dispelled. There will be four health crystals that will spawn that will rapidly regenerate her health. You need to destroy these to make progress. In addition, you will have 3 skeleton adds that will pop approximately every 90 seconds. These adds hit for an average of 20k, so topping that with Anashti Sul attacking the tank - it is recommended that the tank uses some form of deflection. This is mostly a DPS race. You want to do a solid burn until you get her down to 70%. When she hits 70%, she will shift into the next phase.

    • Phase 2: Damsel of Decay
    • >> This is the phase that most groups commonly wipe on. She evolves into Anashti Sul, the Damsel of Decay and hits like a truck. There are two general mechanics to this phase. The poison blast and the mortal decay. Both are targeted AEs that Anashti will perform frequently. The trick is to move your group into one of the three blue auras that will be illuminated in the room. Do as much DPS as you can to her before she breaks off, and runs crazy around the room before running to the center and casts poison blast. Keep this up until you get her down to 50% for her next phase.

    • Phase 3: Mini-Bosses
    • >> Each mini-boss will have a protective shield up until you kite them across a specific aura. The first mini-boss you will want to kite to the north blue aura, the second mini-boss you will want to kite to the east blue aura, and the final mini-boss you will want to kite to the west aura. When you successfully kite the mobs through the aura, you will get a message alerting you that the mob is now vulnerable to attack. Each of these mini-bosses are no harder than the zone trash mobs, hitting for an average of 25k tops. When you have completed this step, you will enter the final phase.

    • Phase 4: Enslaver of Souls
    • >> You will want your group to remain within the west aura which should generate a purple hue. Anashti Sul at this point will be known as the Enslaver of Souls and will run towards the center again. It is imperative that you have your tank drag her toward that west aura to protect your group from being hit by her poison blast. Finish her off for the win.

      The Auras & Trap Mechanics

The number one thing that leads to the demise of most groups attempting this is the trap mechanics which are targeted AEs. The first is a mortal decay AE which does not do that much damage, however the poison blast AE is fatal. Ideally, you want to keep your group bunched up together at all times. Under no circumstance should anyone split up. The reason for this is because the poison blast mechanic is a mega DD towards the targeted player. If that player runs off to hide, that person will receive the full damage from the poison blast; however, if they stay with their group, the amount of damage done will simply be divided among all the players.

Example 1: 150k DD when player is by themselves will be hit for 150k.
Example 2: 150k DD when the player is standing with his/her 5 other buddies will hit everyone for 25k.

As you can see, it is mathematically more beneficial for everyone to take the hit and receive a splash heal than run off and die. Splash heals are going to be essential during this event considering the trap mechanics are going to be a constant nuisance to deal with. During that second phase, you will see a blue aura pop up in one of 3 locations. It is recommended you have 1 person on 'aura lookout' and call out in chat or voice the location of where the aura pops, because you only have 5 seconds to get to safety. Be sure you have levitation disabled or you will not receive the benefits of the aura protection. You will actually hover right outside of it.

NOTE: There is a likelihood that you and your group may end up afflicted with Poison Blast or Mortal Decay before the auras become visible or available. If this happens, keep your group close together at all times to lessen the damage that is done and simply heal splash your way through it.

      Mega DPS Strategies

    • Skip Phase 1
    • >> It is recommended in any attempt at this, that everyone have enough DPS to be able to burn her down starting at 90% and quickly get her to 70% before the health crystals spawn. Doing this will prevent the headache of trying to split your DPS off to destroy the crystals and watch her recover all her health back, additionally it will save you from being overrun with skeleton adds.

    • Skip Phase 1 & 2
    • >> If you have the proper group makeup with synergy, you can actually dish out enough DPS to circumvent the first two phases and go straight to Phase 3. This requires A LOT of DPS; however, has been the most preferred method by most players to getting the event accomplished.

Example: Shadowknight, Cleric, Wizard, Wizard, Enchanter, Berserker

There are many other group makeups out there that you can create for solid DPS. This is not an easy event, so don't hesitate to experiment!

      Failure Mechanics

The only failure mechanic this event has is if you use any corruption or disease based attacks on Anashti Sul when she evolves from Lady of Life to Decay. When she is in Decay & Enslaver form, any corruption or disease based attacks will power her up. She will recover approximately 5% of her overall health and will start striking harder.
