Pre-Requisites for Triggering This Quest:
- Access to the Mines (see this quest)
- No other pre-requisites.

Greedy Mining

You say, 'Hail, Refiner Dyrginal'

Refiner Dyrginal looks down upon you with an annoyed glance, 'Hail, yourself! I'm a busy man and have little time for chit-chat. Did you need some work done, or are you just here to annoy me?'

You say, 'What kind of work?'

Refiner Dyrginal says 'What kind of work? Though I am an artist with ore and fire, a mind-reader I am not! Come on now, spit it out or stop wasting my time! Do you have something for me or not?'

Kill "A Greedy Miner" (click for map image) in the mines and loot "Dirt Covered Ore". Turn in this item to Refiner Dyrginal.

Refiner Dyrginal's eyes widen a bit, 'Ho, what's this now? It's kinda heavy. It's definitely no ore I've seen before. Probably not even ore at all! Could be something valuable maybe, but probably just a bit of junk. It's all covered in goo as well! I could try to clean it up a bit I guess, but you're probably better off just throwing it away.'

You receive "Grungy Object".

You say, 'How can you clean it up?'

Refiner Dyrginal says 'I suppose I could, but I don't work for free! You'll need to do a favor for me too if you want my help!'

You say, 'What favor?'

Refiner Dyrginal says 'Return to me with three Shining Gems of Striking. I don't care how you get them, just bring them, along with that goo covered thing, and I'll see what I can do.'

Shiny Gems

Head into the Mines and kill mud golems called "a mindless miner" until you get 3x "Shining Gem of Striking" (rare drop).

Give the "Grungy Object" and 3x "Shining Gem of Striking" to Refiner Dyrginal:

Refiner Dyrginal says 'Alright then... Let's see what this chunk of nothin' really is!'

Refiner Dyrginal says 'Hmm... Whatever it is, it's gummed up solid. I DID manage to burn off most of the gunk, but this hardened inner shell is tough! Yer gonna need some acid or dissolving fluid like an alchemist might use to get through that!'

You receive "Grungy Symbol".

Krepp's Kobold Tagging

Take the "Grungy Symbol" to Krepp the Augurer (click for map image) in the Mines (/loc -3475, 495, -136).

You say, 'Hail, Krepp the Augurer'

Krepp the Augurer looks upon you with disgust, "To think that I am stuck here playing with rocks all day, and now I have to listen to the prattle of mortals too?! I LIVE for the taste of blood, the fury of battle, and yet, I am stuck here playing in the dirt! It's an INSULT!'

Hand him the "Grungy Symbol":

Krepp the Augurer says 'Hmm... Very interesting. It has the look of something important, but it's hard to tell with this hardened crust covering all the shiny bits! Someone with a working knowledge of transforming metals might be helpful, not that I would know anything about that.'

You receive a "Grungy Mark". If you try giving it back to him, you see:

Krepp the Augurer says 'Hmm.. That's nice. Did you think I'd forget about our bargain? You help me first, then I'll help you.'

You say, 'Are you an alchemist?'

Krepp the Augurer says 'Gah! Bite yer tongue, welp! I suppose to the untrained eye, I could appear so, but I only dabble in alchemy out of boredom! I dream of returning to the glorious battle above! What you need is a good dissolving fluid to chemically burn this outer shell away.'

You say, 'A dissolving fluid?'

Krepp the Augurer says 'Perhaps... I may have just what you need, but I'm not about to give it away for free! Everything, and everyone has their price. I'm sure we can come to some agreement!'

You say, 'What price?'

Krepp the Augurer says 'You want your shiny, and I want to get back into the fight! You do for me, and I do for you. The commander thinks I've lost my thirst for battle, but I intend to prove him wrong! You'll need to find kobolds here in the mine, and weaken them. Once weakened, tag them with this marker and lure them back to me so I may kill them and take their token of honor. Enough tokens, and I'm sure the commander will return me to my rightful place in the war!'

You receive "Krepp's Tagging Marker".

From here, you need to DPS kobold mobs to at least 35% health, right-click the item on them, then pull them to Krepp the Augurer, who will kill them in one shot:

Krepp the Augurer says 'All will die by the mighty Krepp!'

Note: You have to be a fair distance away from Krepp the Augurer when you tag the kobold, or he'll ignore the kobold. Once you've done this 13-20 times in a row, you'll see an emote in grey:

Krepp the Augurer says 'That should do it! The commander MUST acknowledge my prowess now! You have upheld your end of the bargain, and now I'll hold up mine. Give me that symbol of yours, and I'll see what I can do with it.'

At this time, turn in the "Grungy Mark" to Krepp:

Krepp the Augurer says 'Well now, isn't this interesting. You've found yourself a Mark of Rallos Zek! Created right here within the Plane of War! For those who know what to do with it, and can handle the consequences, it can prove very valuable. To others, it is only a quick and painful death. Which will you be, I wonder?'

You receive "Mark of Rallos Zek".

Rallos Would Be Proud

When ready for a fight, right-click the "Mark of Rallos Zek" to spawn "a furious legionnaire", and kill it. After its death, "Herald of War" should spawn nearby.

You say, 'Hail, Herald of War'

Herald of War says 'Impressive! I had not thought mortals capable of such violence and brutality! You would make a fine additional to the battlefield. Give me the Token of War, and you shall be added to the ranks of battle!'

Loot "Token of War" from legionnaire's corpse, and turn it in to Herald of War to complete the quest.

Herald of War says 'Very well. Rallos would be proud. Fight and die well, mortal!'

Shiny Gems

First two dropped within 6 miners, third one has yet to drop with 24 miners down so far, so they are indeed looking like a rareish drop.

Fight kobolds to <20%, and use Krepp's Tagging Marker on them. Once tagged, drag the kobold close to Krepp, he will kill them and say:

[Sat May 31 22:19:38 2014] Krepp the Augurer says 'All will die by the mighty Krepp!'

After doing this enough times (~13-20 kobolds in a row it seems), the person doing the tagging will get a grey emote from Krepp:

[Sat May 31 22:23:57 2014] Krepp the Augurer says 'That should do it! The commander MUST acknowledge my prowess now! You have upheld your end of the bargain, and now I'll hold up mine. Give me that symbol of yours, and I'll see what I can do with it.'

Turn in the Grungy Mark to Krepp, and he gives you a Mark of Rallos Zek.

[Sat May 31 22:24:23 2014] Krepp the Augurer says 'Well now, isn't this interesting. You've found yourself a Mark of Rallos Zek! Created right here within the Plane of War! For those who know what to do with it, and can handle the consequences, it can prove very valuable. To others, it is only a quick and painful death. Which will you be, I wonder?'

Click the Mark of Rallos Zek to spawn a furious legionnaire. Kill it, and a Herald of War should spawn nearby.

[Sat May 31 22:25:45 2014] You say, 'Hail, Herald of War'
[Sat May 31 22:25:45 2014] Herald of War says 'Impressive! I had not thought mortals capable of such violence and brutality! You would make a fine additional to the battlefield. Give me the Token of War, and you shall be added to the ranks of battle!'

Loot Token of War from a furious legionnaire and turn in to Herald of War to complete the quest.

[Sat May 31 22:25:43 2014] Herald of War says 'Very well. Rallos would be proud. Fight and die well, mortal!'

No, I havent been able to get this thing working clicking kobolds nor did I found any NPC *yet* that accept it as a quest item turn in... one of them should say you must turn in all the quest item all at once etc but none does at leest in PoW.

and by the look of it... It look hella broken to me but who knows... Id like to know wich dev said that was working as intended or was just a reply from some gummy bear guide.

Chandrok replied to my thread about it here.

I did send in a petition, a GM came by and tested the item out themselves, they told me it did appear to be broken and forwarded it on.

You receive "Grungy Mark". Take this item to Krepp the Augurer (click for map image) in the Mines (/loc -3475, 495, -136).

Its a Grungy Symbol not "Grungy Mark".

Supposedly this is the only quest I have left to do, and I got stuck on a quest item that does nothing when clicked.

When Refiner Dyrginal gives you the 'Grungy Object', head into the mines and kill 'a mindless miner' for 3 'Shining Gem of Striking', it's a rare drop.

Give the 'Grungy Object' and 3 'Shining Gem of Striking' to Refiner Dyrginal:
Refiner Dyrginal says 'Alright then... Let's see what this chunk of nothin' really is!'
Refiner Dyrginal says 'Hmm... Whatever it is, it's gummed up solid. I DID manage to burn off most of the gunk, but this hardened inner shell is tough! Yer gonna need some acid or dissolving fluid like an alchemist might use to get through that!'
He gives you 'Grungy Mark'

Head to Krepp the Augurer in the mines.
Location -3473.09, 493.31, -136.17

You say, 'Hail, Krepp the Augurer'
Krepp the Augurer looks upon you with disgust, "To think that I am stuck here playing with rocks all day, and now I have to listen to the prattle of mortals too?! I LIVE for the taste of blood, the fury of battle, and yet, I am stuck here playing in the dirt! It's an INSULT!

Give him the 'Grungy Mark'
Krepp the Augurer says 'Hmm... Very interesting. It has the look of something important, but it's hard to tell with this hardened crust covering all the shiny bits! Someone with a working knowledge of transforming metals might be helpful, not that I would know anything about that.'
He gives back the 'Grungy Mark'
If you try to hand it to him again he says:
Krepp the Augurer says 'Hmm.. That's nice. Did you think I'd forget about our bargain? You help me first, then I'll help you.'

You say, 'alchemist'
Krepp the Augurer says 'Gah! Bite yer tongue, welp! I suppose to the untrained eye, I could appear so, but I only dabble in alchemy out of boredom! I dream of returning to the glorious battle above! What you need is a good dissolving fluid to chemically burn this outer shell away.'

You say, 'dissolving fluid'
Krepp the Augurer says 'Perhaps... I may have just what you need, but I'm not about to give it away for free! Everything, and everyone has their price. I'm sure we can come to some agreement!'

You say, 'price'
Krepp the Augurer says 'You want your shiny, and I want to get back into the fight! You do for me, and I do for you. The commander thinks I've lost my thirst for battle, but I intend to prove him wrong! You'll need to find kobolds here in the mine, and weaken them. Once weakened, tag them with this marker and lure them back to me so I may kill them and take their token of honor. Enough tokens, and I'm sure the commander will return me to my rightful place in the war!'
He gives you 'Krepp's Tagging Marker'

Either I'm using the tagger wrong or it's broken, when casting on kobolds of varying health %'s I get 'Your Krepp's Tagging Marker begins to glow.', nothing actually happens, no emotes, no cast bar, no buff on the mob, we did drag kobolds to Krepp after clicking it and even before clicking it, we attacked kobolds on the other side of the mine and used it, we snared a kobold at 3% on top of Krepp and spam used it, nothing. It also silences you in a way: 'You are already casting a spell!', this doesn't go away until using some form of instant cast ability.

you can triger this quest at anytime but completion of it before everything else is unconfirmed to work or not.

I will be able to test if the mine quest is doable before everything else or not today or latest tomorow.
