This quest begins with a High Elf named Joyce in the Temple of Solusek Ro.
To get to her: Once inside the temple, go through the large gate and then through one of the two doors on the side. Somewhere in the series of small rooms, there is a door that will be hidden by another open door, so in each room look around when the doors are closed. (If you come to a bigger room, you've gone too far.) When you find the side door, go through it and follow it up the stairs. You will come to a balcony in the room mentioned above. Facing into the room, go left and you will find Joyce. She'll ask for the following items: - A Globe of Mist (from festering hags in Unrest) - A Water Ring (from aqua goblin tidal lords in Dagnor's Cauldron) - A Sapphire, bought from jewelry merchants for as little as 105pp Bring these items to Joyce for your Circlet of Mist. Joyce no longer needs the Ring of Evoluoy for the Circlet. I turned it in with the other 3 items, and she gave it back to me. Its no longer in her quest text either. Just the other 3 items
Globe of Mist are from Festering Hags in Unrest - Upper Level of House or Basement - tough casters and hit hard - cast lightning for much damage

I found the Ring on my second slaying of an alligator OUTSIDE Cazic yesterday night. I was originally looking for the broom, but that one I didnt find until my 5th 'gatorkill... I didn't even know about the ring, lol, that's why i am looking into it right now, hehe
Meanwhile i killed some lizzys and could get exp for them, that felt like kind of a bonus. So to mee it seems like the quest is working fine.

Ok I have killed many many alligators in feerott and tried to find spawns in lake rath..nothing falls off the alligators let alone this elusive ring....Is this quest even working anymore? I'm really sick of camping for nothing

i would like to post to ask a question since cazic is now a lvl 50 plus zone from what i hear , how is it possible to do the mage quests that need components from cazic ? any help or suggestions .
All of the quests that were formerly inside CT are now outside in the Feerrott. The alligators for this quest are basically lvl 22 to 25 and should be easy enogh for a lvl 34 to take on.
Does the ring of Evolouy drop anywhere else? Seeing as how the lowest level in CT is now 50.

It still drops off of the aligators that spawn outside CT
If don't know by now all the old CT mobs have been moved just outside of the temple in the Feerrott.

This item is no drop. found out the hard way went got it with my druid for my magician and NO drop. oct 2001. Do you know how much that sapphire was? i could have used it for my crafted on warrior. Circlet of mist is no drop.
Simple solution my friend....
Bring your Druid and your Mage to temple of Solsek Ro. Give the Mage the saphire, and camp him right in front of the quest NPC. Log druid on and hand in the 3 quest items. Quickly camp and log Mage and hand in sapphire and Presto. Mage gets reward. Solsek Ro quests are all multi questable. I used this technique to get my lvl 8 Wizzie a weeping wand. Poor lvl 8 wizzie still needed one of the items to hand in, so I made the poor soul get the sceptre from the Mistmore Graveyard...

The festering hags in Unrest can be fought with a party of 25-30. By themselves, they are rather easy with a full party.
Was camping the ghost with a party of 35-50's. The hags don't have many hit points, so die fast, but make sure you pay attention to them early. They damage shield themselves and people around them before the fight, and cast for around 200 pts dd. Our party had 2 clerics, one to heal, one to drop undead nukes (works on most everything but the tenticle terrors).

Woops! I made a mistake in the above post. Lord searfire is elsewhere in the temple, and is involved in armor of ro. Lord xystl(sp?) of Burnwood is the one involved in wurmslayer.

Joyce is found in the temple of Solusek ro. The temple is off lavastorm, from the nektulos zone go strait and you will find a HUGE pool of lava. On one side of the pool there are 2 caves, one leads to SolA, the other leads to SolB. On the other side is a cave that leads to the temple. Once inside the temple, go through the large gate and then through one of the 2 doors on the side. The ring drops off the same alligators in Cazic that drop the other mage focus items. It may take a while for it to show up, as it seems to be as random and rare as the broom, stein, torch, and shovel.

I was at the first pond in Cazic Thule for about 3 hours, and not one "an alligator" dropped a ring. I notice that the quest says "a LARGE alligator" and we never fought any of these, but it's also not listed in the bestiary list on this site, so I assume that large alligators don't exist and it was a typo.
How do you get the ring? Do you have to go the area where the Golem spawns?

I've seen them drop off the gators that wander into the CY, in the sewers, and while hunting BP+GP simultaniously.
Although I don't believe I've seen them drop from the gators in the BP.
And they are VERY rare in about 8 or 9 levels of hunting in Cazic, I've seen about 4.
So 3 hours and no ring is nothing :)

Got the ring of evoluoy off of a gator in Cazic-Thule. Spawned right at the zone to Feerot and heads towards the first gate. Killed it 3 times and it had the ring twice.

I went to CT with a group and we hunted the alligators in the pools...first one i looted had the ring...My brother who also has a mage went and camped down there for 3 days and never saw it drop once...i guess you just have to get lucky or be determined. It dropped 2 times while i was there.

The Globe of Mist also drops on specs in Oasis which are lvl 30 killable, same as the gators in cazic (in a group anyway) and the tidal lord I soloed at 24. The hardest part is finding Joyce in the temple.

Ok there are some serious problems with this statement... the GLOBE of mist only drops off the festering hag... as does the sphere of mist for other quests... the GLOBE of fear tends to drop from all specs ... thats necro related.

Yes, necros drop Globe of Fear as common. It is part of some necro spell quest. The globe only drops of hags, and that is actually good cuz specs range from 35 to 40+.

Ok I am a lvl 30 mage Tidal lords are in Dagnors Cauldron off of butcherblock zone they are easy to kill solo..
They drop the ring. Saffires can be bought in the jewellery shops.
The Hag in unrest I have not had the experience of battling as yet but am told that she is pretty tough. The same with the Gator in Cazic Thule... You could always try to get a group of high lvls in a guild to help you get what you are after if you are in a guild :0)

umm, could someone please gimme more info? like, where she's at, where to get the items, and what lvl MUST you be and stuff?
