Did this for faction as an ogre warrior. I too am tired of being attacked by the food deliverer and wish to be able to travel through Rivervale. Roughly 24 belts took me to indifferent. Haven't seen the food deliverer yet to find out about faction with her.
I did this with a level 2 char--turned in 4 slashed belts, got right around 2 bubbles of blue. Pretty disappointing IMO.
Also, with a charisma of 93 I got copper from him. Copper. Compared to Crushbone belts and Shoulderpads, this quest is really poor--the same char turning in CB Belts was getting nearly a yellow bubble per belt, if not more. I also got 10 silver usually, plus items that sell for gold.

The quests aren't designed for the sole purpose of leveling your character. Although the CB belts and shoulderpads to reward a chunk of xp, some decent coin and sellable items, they were mainly designed to raise your factions. This is an awesome quest for evil races who want to become non-kos in places like Misty, Rivervale and Freeport. If you are looking to quest PL your characters, I suggest you stick with the CB belts and shoulderpads.
Not anymore. The XP from turn in quests was dialed way down a while ago just to prevent power leveling. Too many people were trying to play in high level content without the skills that were needed to function because they did too many turn in quests without raising their skills.

How do you click on him? I cant give him any belts cause he is stuck inside the wall and wont come out. is there a way to go in there or something? What faction do you need for the squad ring quest? guards are all warmly, but citizens are considers you kindly. what and whose faction do you need to raise and to what?

Anyone know what the no drop ax the orc lumberjack drops is for? It is a no drop item, cant even find the lumberjack in the misty thicket beastiery.

You can also raise faction with Rivervale by pummeling Orcs. I've killed maybe hundreds of the things, and turned in their belts to Freeport, and now my faction with Rivervale is 'Dubious' and my faction with East/West Freeport is 'Indifferent'. But I've got a long road ahead of me to get into North Freeport..

the ring you loot and the quest ring are not the same . the loot ring is + 5 chr . the quest ring can heal 100 hps , but only once the you need to re-do the quest ALL over again. Booboogone , hobbit cleric on Namelass

Why earn a squad ring the hard way? I was wandering around and saw a DE killing the guards, He didnt want the loot, so i looted it off the dead guards! :)

If the ring is silver one where the endpass each other and the sweep out in points then yeah it is easier to wait for someone to kill a guard and then loot if they don't want he (got a nice little shield that way too and some swords worth a few plat)

Sweet this raises Stormreaper faction. Being a Kos iskar shammy tryin to get non kos i'm sick of foodcrafter DDin me for 612 at a time. The small orc camp in this zone is rarely takken during the hours i play so these would be quite easy to gather.

Unless you want to close the door to Neriak, I dont think this quest is wise for an evil race to do (it lowers Dread Guard Outter, or, if you prefer to call them, Dark Elf Guards in the 1st neriak zone)

Just do the Red Wine Quest to gain Faction with Dread Guard Outer/Inner again. Simple as that...
And unlike good races, you don't have to do any invisibility tricks to do the red wine quest :)
Unless you're Iksar, who are KOS to other EVIL races, as well as all good ones.

Is there a difference between the experience gained here and in Freeport for the belts?

There is a big difference in the experience given for this quest. I turned in a belt last night to Deputy Budo and got almost no experience at level 10. Just to confirm I tried it again and still no exp. I know that if I gave two of these to Cain Darkmoore in Freeport I would get probably close to a blue or more. I did get major faction but for a lvl 10 Druid halfling the experience is much more important. Just a heads up.

Can I do this quest with level 40+ troll and/or orge? I'm interested in knowng if there is anyway to gain entrance to Rivervale by doing this. Or by any other means... if someone has any tested ideas let me know.

i think with a friend to give you wolf form you can do this and the honeybugger bandage quest (HAVE LOTS AND LOTS of bandages), however, remember that this will mess with your faction in the guards in neriak

No, Canloe takes crushbone belts, not deathfist slashed belts. The crushbone belts come off of the orcs in Faydwer.
