Rain of Fear Information & Guides: An Overview | Group Progression & Task List | Raid Progression | Visible Armor This is a solo task that begins with "Gronk the Krystul King" (map) in the Valley of King Xorbb. He's found at 925, -2430, -411. This loc is in the underground cave system beneath the valley -- in the small square room in the system's northeastern section). Pre-Requisites: - Level 85 - No tasks You say, 'Hail, Gronk the Krystul King' Gronk the Krystul King raises his crystal-studded club in the air and points at you with his massive fingers. 'Humble yourself before da mighty Gronk, _____! You are in da presence of da shiniest [warrior]. Kneel!' You say, 'Warrior?' Gronk the Krystul King smashes his club down onto the corpse of the halfling stretched across the steps. Blood splatters your armor as Gronk shouts, 'I am Gronk, Krystul King! All da [shinies] of dis gobbie cave are Gronk's! Gronk [fear no one] and everyone fears Gronk!' You say, 'You fear no one?' Gronk the Krystul King lets out the loudest laugh you've ever heard and pounds his chest, 'All fear da Krystul King! Gronk have all da shinies and he stand on the shiniest of dem all! You fear Gronk, and dat's why you [find] Gronk more.' You say, 'What about these shinies?' Gronk the Krystul King clutches his crystal-studded club like a baby and eyes you suspiciously, 'What you want with shinies? All da shinies are Gronk's.' A smiles crosses Gronk's face as he reaches out and puts his heavy hand on your shoulder, 'Maybe you [find] Gronk shinies and Gronk not crush you.' You say, 'I could find some' Gronk the Krystul King says 'Go into caves to north. Caves filled with shinies. Get me more. Kill any shorty halflings you find to make da Krystul King pleased. Maybe Gronk let you keep one if nice.' You have been assigned the task 'Krystuls for the Krystul King'. You've encountered a large ogre who seems to be immune from the effects of the fear shard. You'll need to gain his confidence to get him to tell you his secret to avoiding its effects. Note: You need to follow all dialogues with Gronk to get the hail/speaking updates. Collect blue crystals 0/3 (Valley of King Xorbb) Collect yellow crystals 0/3 (Valley of King Xorbb) Collect red crystals 0/3 (Valley of King Xorbb) Collect green crystals 0/3 (Valley of King Xorbb) Task Window Says: Collect some of the blue crystals he's obsessed with to offer as tribute. Find them in the caves to the north. Continue north out of the blue crystal cave and head east to find a large clump of yellow crystals. Red crystals can be found in the northernmost caves, connected to the large cavern that houses the yellow crystals. Green crystals are the most difficult to find. Search the caves to the west for them. The crystals are ground spawns in the areas just north of Gronk (blue ones in the room to the north of Gronk; yellow ones in the next room north; red ones in the room north of there; and green ones in the room to the west of the yellow spawns). Bring the crystals to Gronk 0/12 (Valley of King Xorbb) Kill crocodiles and skin their hides 0/3 (Valley of King Xorbb) Bring the skins back to Gronk and pressure him for information about the fear shard 0/1 (Valley of King Xorbb) Crouch in front of Gronk until he addresses you 0/1 (Valley of King Xorbb) Once this updates, you can stand up. This update triggers the spawn of three halflings ("a taunted halfling", Level 93) that auto-aggro. Defeat the halfling adventurers 0/3 (Valley of King Xorbb) Corner Gronk and force him to tell you how he’s managed to avoid the fear shard's effects 0/1 (Valley of King Xorbb) Rewards: ? platinum Experience | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

When I did the stage where he asks you to crouch, nothing seemed to happen. Tried sitting and ducking, but no update. Eventually, I just said the word "robes" to him and the halflings spawned.
5th step reads - Find out what Gronk wants next
A ranger's life is truely to solo these worlds.
"a taunted halfling (____'s challenger)" - _____ = person who triggered
2nd time (immediately after that time) ... 3x light blue spawns.
1 dark blue and 2 light blue spawned .. low hp.

After you collect all the crystals (crystals are an auto inventory but not an item you can find)

You don't "sit" in front of Gronk. You "duck" or "crouch."
I just hailed and followed the text triggers and got the update. Did it on 2 toons. One on a mount and one standing, no sitting/croutching needed.
