This mercenary slot only applies to the character you do the quest for. However this will stack with the marketplace merc slots. 4 max slots from this quest and 5 additional slots with marketplace. You say, 'Hail, Mercenary Captain Cecille' Mercenary Captain Cecille says 'Well met. You are ______, right? I'm Captain Cecille, and I run this group of mercenaries. Awesome! That means more DPS/Healing and Blasting on standby, the mobs will most likely be sad to see me with this much backup!

Ok I have 4 mercs per my All access Gold J5 account...will this quest/task give me another? So a total of 5 mercs?

This task is repeatable up to four times. In your AA window under the "Special" tab you'll see an AA named "Hero's Barracks" AFTER completing the task. After completing this task four times and having purchased all the mercenary slots you are allowed to buy from the Daybreak cash store, I have 11 Mercenary slots.

If you already have 7 merc slots (via station cash etc), does this quest give you an 8th?
I went from 6 out of 9 to 7 out of 10, so the answer seems to be yes. Hope this helps.

I just finished this Task and did not get an extra mercenary slot BOGUS!!
I would hope you found out by now that you need to zone before it will show up in your mercenary window (even tho it immediately shows up for your AA count).
The first 6 combines are confirmed as having trivial levels of 335.
Mercenary Signet Ring, jewelry making, has a trivial of 15.
Which is a good thing considering the material(s).

No xp reward and i think it's the same thing that the market place "Mercenary Slot". The quest just give you one more slot of the number max of total slots.
Perhap's a stupid question, but i don't speak very well... Is the reward of this quest give the same thing that the Mercenary Slot of the marketplace buying?

The difference between Marketplace merc slots and slots from this quest are that Marketplace slots apply to every character on your account, while slots from this quest only apply to the character that did the quest. They stack though -- up to 4 additional slots from this quest, plus up to 5 additional slots from Marketplace.

Just did the final JC combine for the signet ring, it seems the trival has been further lowered to 15.

I had done the quest on one toon already and was working on the second toon. I forgot that i had to hail the quartermaster before making the final combine and now it won't update. i petitioned it but i am not sure if soe will help or not. darn and that blood stone is such a rare drop.

i just got this quest finished. 05/22/12
only glitch i saw was you have to zone or log to get the new merc slot to show up after you complete the quest, if you already have bought a merc slot witch Station cash
all items you need for this are tradeable and lore
you can do this quest 4 times aperently as it gives me a 1/4 on the aa. and lets me do the quest again. i will try it and see if it works.

so with some SC bought Merc slots + the aa ones now i have 5 Merc Slots, i have 1 of each kind and 2 clerics.
2 clerics because when 1 is OOM in a pinch ... in between Pulls or i can (Fade) and change to a Full mana Cleric Merc very quickly

I don't know if there is a minimum level for Mercenary Captain Cecile to talk to you. However, even if you buy all the dropped components or farm them on a higher level toon, the tradeskill requirement means that you cannot do this quest unless you are (or at least have been) level 51 and have purchased all 6 ranks of New Tanaan Craft Mastery AA.
