This solo task begins with Hoarder Paoliq in the Resplendent Temple, located at 2200, -15, -330. This is in the underground network of caves (about three open caverns deep if travelling through them from the east entrance at 2705, -400, -38). Pre-requisites for requesting the task: - No tasks - 73 Skill Level in Alaran You say, 'Hail, Hoarder Paoliq' Hoarder Paoliq sticks his snout close to your armor and sniffs, 'Yuh don't smell like an [Ulork].' The filthy swinetor steps back to get a full view, 'Yuh don't look like one of them neither.' Convinced you are not a member of his rival clan, Hoarder Paoliq relaxes a bit. You say, 'Of course I'm not an Ulork; are you blind?!' Hoarder Paoliq spits on the ground upon hearing his rival clan's name, 'Those sad excuses for swinetors are the sworn enemy of Clan Piq`a, an' I got a [plan] to kill every last one of 'em.' You say, 'What plan?' Hoarder Paoliq grins, baring a mouthful of rotten teeth, 'Don't wanta tell yuh all my secrets just yet, but those Ulork swine will get what's comin' to 'em. Are yuh [in], or should I just kill yuh too?' You say, 'I'm in!' Hoarder Paoliq says 'So much to do before the big plan explodes! I'll give yuh an easy task, yuh'll like it. Nothin' like diggin' in an Ulork's ear, or pickin' the hairs from a grove braxi!'' You have been assigned the task 'Death to Clan Ulork!'. Hoarder Paoliq has a plan to destroy Clan Ulork, but he needs your help to ensure its success! Gather clumps of ear wax from dead Ulorks. Collect coarse hair from braxi that roam the grove. Pick a fire flower, which usually grows on the walls that lead down to the in-between. Kill Ulorks for their ear wax 0/5 (Resplendent Temple) This step will update randomly as you kill "Ulork" mobs. A fair amount of them can be found in the northern branch of the west tunnels (2600, 370, -330). Success message upon mob death: An Ulork Vicar has earfuls of sticky, yellow wax. Failure message upon mob death: An Ulork Vicar has clean ears. Kill braxi for their coarse hair 0/5 (Resplendent Temple) This step will update randomly as you kill "braxi" mobs above ground outside the temple. Success message upon mob death: a grove braxi is covered in coarse hair. You cut a lock for Hoarder Paoliq. Failure message upon mob death: a grazing braxi has no suitable coarse hair. Collect a fire flower 0/1 (Resplendent Temple) Fire Flowers are found growing along the walls of the in-between (the large gorge surrounding the Temple). Using third-person view, you'll be able to see them growing along the wall (one such location is next to the entrance bridge). Use Levitate and pluck the flower from the wall on your way down. This isn't an actual item; only an update. Speak with Hoarder Paoliq 0/1 (Resplendent Temple) You say, 'Hail, Hoarder Paoliq' Hoarder Paoliq takes the items from you and immediately gets to work crafting a rather large torch. 'Here's the secret weapon! Take it into the throne room and light it up. Yuh should be able to burn the whole place down!' You receive a Piq`a Crafted Torch. Burn down the Ulork throne room 0/1 (Resplendent Temple) The Ulork Throne Room can be found in the northern branch of the west tunnels. In the center of the large room is a row of protruding bones (around 2830, 375, -330). Pre-clear, and then stand between the teeth near the back by the 'throne' and click the torch. This spawns a mob. Defeat a blazing Ulork 0/1 (Resplendent Temple) This mob is slowable and hits for a max ~10,500. Speak with Hoarder Paoliq 0/1 (Resplendent Temple) You say, 'Hail, Hoarder Paoliq' Hoarder Paoliq lets out a raunchy snort, 'I can still hear the squeals of those useless Ulork!' after you click the torch and spawn the blazing Ulork, if you do not defeat him he will despawn and you will have to do the entire task over again. My group got adds and we succor'd out. When we returned the mob was gone.
If you reenter the throne room where you used the torch clickie the mob will spawn and auto aggro. no need to restart.
