Bristlebane Day: This Ain't Right

This is a seasonal group task that was introduced at the end of March 2011 as part of April Fool's Day 2011 events. It's expected as available only around April for a relatively short period of time. For progression servers, it unlocks with Seeds of Destruction.
To request it, you must first complete the solo task "Let's Have Some Fun!" Once you've completed that task, speak with Bobo Gleemaker again (found next to a tree in the Plane of Knowledge, near the Plane of Tranquility stone). Although there are different versions of this task (according to your group's level), it's believed the only difference is the difficulty level of the mobs you'll encounter. At the end of the solo task, you saw: Bobo Gleemaker says 'You brought the ingredients! Yay! I hope you're ready for some fun, because that's what you are about to get! Let's see what we can make. Add a pinch of this and a pinch of that, and. . . Hmm, that doesn't seem right. Um, did you feel that [earthquake]?' You say, 'Earthquake?' Bobo Gleemaker says 'Um. I think something is wrong. I am guessing that earthquake wasn't a good sign and my fun spell didn't work. I am also sensing some sort of inter-dimensional portal opening up. I think you better do some [investigating] to see what happened.' You say, 'Some investigating?' Bobo Gleemaker says 'When you are ready, just say the magic words, [hubadee dubadee doo] and I will try to teleport you to this other dimension. Perhaps then we can figure out what's going on.' You have been assigned the task 'This Ain't Right'. You say, 'Hubadee dubadee doo' LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... You enter an instanced version of the Plane of Knowledge. NOTE: This locks the task. The elephants are found in the neutral area of the zone. These are found on the good side of the zone. These are found on the evil side of the Plane of Knowledge. Edwin Destroyer of Worlds, a huge gingerbread man, is next to the trader building on the opposite side from the Herald of Druzzil Ro and near the monster shroud NPC. The World's Tiniest Giant is right outside the stairs to the library (at the bottom) near the big bank. Completing the above steps opens up three more steps: Then, after doing those turn-ins: You say, 'Hail, Bobo Gleemaker' A strange fellow named, the Riddle Master has appeared next to Bobo! Bobo Gleemaker says 'These are quite interesting samples. . . Oh, great. I should have known that he was involved somehow. You better talk to him. He is quite annoying and won't leave until you play his little riddle game.' The Riddle Master says 'I am the Riddle Master and soon you will see that the riddle I have is as hard as can be! Solve it you may try, but in the end you will give up and cry! Dare to test your brains against I? Then so be it, give it a try! I fly to and fro gathering pollen as I go. The answer you will not know, but I'll give you a clue and you can have it for free. The answer I seek rhymes with the word 'tree'. What am I?' You say, 'Bee' The Riddle Master says 'What the heck?! How did you answer that? Are you cheating? Are you some sort of riddle solving champion? Maybe I should give you another one to answer. . .' Bobo Gleemaker says 'Bristlebane!' Bristlebane spawns next to Bobo. You say, 'Hail, Bristlebane, King of Thieves' Bristlebane, King of Thieves says ''Enough! What a pathetic riddle master you are! I told you to unleash mayhem in the Plane of Knowledge itself, not an alternate version of it! I can't even trust you to cause some basic mischief! And you, Bobo, I don't know why you left my castle, but I don't appreciate you trying to cause fun without my permission! This was supposed to be my special day and you both ruined it! I want you both to return to the castle at once!' Bristlebane turns his angry glare toward you. 'And you, adventurer, just take the stuff in the chest and leave! I have had enough!'' an ornate chest spawns next to Bobo. In it, is a Hobby Horse. You say, 'Hail, Bobo Gleemaker' Bobo Gleemaker says 'I guess I better go. The big guy is pretty sore at me. If you want to leave, just say the phrase, [bubadee dubadee loo]. Toodles.' This ends the task. The Hobby Hose: Hobby Horse LORE ITEM NO TRADE Slot: AMMO Charges: Unlimited Effect: Hobby Horse (Any Slot/Can Equip, Casting Time: 2.0) WT: 1.2 Size: MEDIUM Class: ALL Race: ALL The effect summons a horse, but you can't actually move with it. Additional Rewards Everyone in the task can select from two different reward options. As of April 19, 2019 this quest is now working. It was also listed in the patch update notes a few days prior.

Quest is broken no Bristlebane spawn.
The dev's have confirmed the quest is broken but have done an internal fix but unknown if it will make it out before end of event since it has to go in on a regular server update not a hot fix.

I think he only spawns on April Fools day.

This quest is broken. After answering 'The Riddle Master' question, and getting the update, Bristlebane will not spawn. I have tried 3 times and all with the same result.
Ditto - I got the same result with no Bristlebane spawn.

Truth (on Bristlebane Day, oddly enough)
Not sure if it was always this way, but earthquake is definitely the trigger word to receive the quest now.
All the above text is still correct.
Also, if you did the solo pre-task in a previous year, Bobo still wants you to do it again when you hail him. But you can circumvent by simply saying earthquake to him to get the mission and avoid the solo task.

you got the lockout AFTER the final hail not after the loot. Maybie a bug
Task lock occurs upon the first hail inside the instance zone, step 1, as the quest description here says.

Ive looked everywhere for this person, where is he located in pok? is the quest still available? are u able to do the quest at a lower level?

Update: As of 04/08/2014, Hobby Horse acts like a regular running mount (with speed based on your fastest mount flag). The stats remain the same and displays hp regen.

The mission is very easy. The mobs needed are plentiful, and con LB to lvl 100. The hobby horse doesn't look like a traditional
hobby horse as we all know as one. My reward was a brown horse that looks like the horse mounts bought in the stables in Bazaar. The one funny thing I did see was, even though the horse doesn't move, the rider rocks back and forth in the saddle, imitating the movement of rocking . The second reward of mini jester, is a jester puppet, that is placeable in your house or yard.
