Kintorom #2: History of the World, Part 2  

this will make things easier. rather than using /loc or reading all the comments, here is a quick follow list for the books (volumes)
5 books are on other books or tables. 1 book is looted after killing an npc which only aggros when someone has done this quest (or is currently doing this quest).
the books on the ground you left click to pick up are on a 1 minute respawn timer.

from the beginning of the zone (starting from the quest giver, count the rooms not counting the area the quest giver is standing (which isn't really a room))
--a book is in the second room near the bottom of the steps on a table
--a book is also in that second room in the second half of the room near the stairs going up on stacks of books.
--a book is in the third room almost exactly where Varesa K`Zen is looking on a stack of books pretty high up
--a book is in that same third room in the middle of the room on a knee high square table
--a book is looted from the npc which spawns in side hallways off of that third room. you have to kill this mob over and over to get the books for multiple characters. this mob is on a 1 or 5 minute repop timer
--the last book is in the next room after you go up another flight of stairs (3rd to last room) on the southern side of the room on a table. there is a rotdog right next to the book

i hope this helps! this quest i've done multiple times and it keeps taking longer than it should because i didn't have a list of this part before now. there are kos see invis npcs which are sometimes there and sometimes not there (not only nameds see invis), so having a way to teleport away after aggroing or get out of combat and invis is very helpful. i don't think there are any undead in this zone so normal invis is all which is needed. the fastest way to do this quest is to invis and do this entire quest stopping and killing anything which sees invis, then reinvising and finishing the quest. the third room is a bad room to fight in, so if you get aggro in the 3rd room, pull the mobs to a side room to kill them. the mobs in 3rd room yell or something, and you end up fighting the entire room even if you only aggroed a few. this is a very easy quest to do the higher lvl you are given that not many people visit this zone nowadays.

volume 655 is ontop the piles of books by task giver k'zen have to be on the bookcase to see it

When it comes to the "an enraged historian" know also that if you get the drop from him, and turn it in to questgiver that it will again become active. The check to spawn him is apparently only blocked if the person in range does not have the page he drops. So make sure you turn in his page at the end, the ground spawns can be turned in at any point along the quest without any negative effects.

Confirmed Error on this page. I had only picked up two volumes, neither of which was 689, and was just wandering by and enraged historian aggrod me.
