This shared task begins with Excrug Shrivstem at approximate location -790, 1165, 230 in the southern-central part of Fungal Forest.
You say, 'Hail, Excrug Shrivstem' Excrug Shrivstem says 'I grieve in silence for those who have suffered for my past actions. How could things have gotten this far out of control? I trusted Rakkirin to lead us well. Then came the cliknar invasion, and Rakkirin showed us that we must be strong and protect ourselves with a devastating offense. We said nothing when Rakkirin demanded the destruction of the other sporali who would not bow to him; we thought he was right. It is for these [acts] that my thoughts remain disturbed.' You say, 'What acts?' Excrug Shrivstem says 'Brell taught us that each Sporali, indeed every creature of the Fungal Forest is a wondrous creation, deserving of care and respect. When we began destroying the Telmira and the other groups of Sporali, I began having doubts that Rakkirin was right. At first I thought we were acting to save the Forest. Now I see that we were deceived, and that our efforts of late amount to serious [crimes].' You say, 'Crimes?' Excrug Shrivstem says 'Among the things I am deeply ashamed of are our efforts to secure only the purest water for ourselves. I know not why he needs it, but Rakkirin was directed to harvest as much of the purest water as possible from this, the wettest region in the Underfoot. Unfortunately, the water here is not strictly pure by Brell's exacting standards, so he demanded we purify the water somehow. Rakkirin chose to use the [heartseeds] of our fallen sporali enemies for this purpose; one heartseed can filter many units of water to absolute purity.' You say, 'Heartseeds?' Excrug Shrivstem says 'The undamaged, fresh heartseeds of a sporali who has recently been killed have become a commodity, it seems. We are being asked to slaughter our brethren in the name of a higher objective. May Brell have mercy on me for letting things go so far astray. Is there any way I can have your assistance to [redeem] my actions?' You say, 'I'll redeem those actions' Excrug Shrivstem says 'I know I don't deserve this consideration, but the spirits of the fallen sporali demand it. Rakkirin has captured several of our surviving enemies from other tribes, and he certainly intends to slaughter them in order to harvest their heartseeds. You must not allow them to do this. You must rescue them before another infamous blot is placed on our reputation. Bring them to me, and I will guide them to safety.' You have been assigned the task 'Seeds for the Waterstalkers'. Excrug Shrivstem is ashamed of the things he has done for his kinsman, Rakkirin, and asks for your help in thwarting Rakkirin's evil plan to use the heartseeds of fallen enemy Sporali to purify water. Locate the Shrivstem tribe's holding pen that Excrug spoke of. It is in the southeast part of the forest. Find the Shrivstem tribe's holding area 0/1 (Fungal Forest) This updates in the southeastern part of the zone at -712, -1982, 280. Kill the Shrivstem guardians to release the captives 0/3 (Fungal Forest) Tell Nightruff Grubcap he is being rescued 0/1 (Fungal Forest) Tell Gelnus Fernshade he is being rescued 0/1 (Fungal Forest) Tell Orath Torusbloom he is being rescued 0/1 (Fungal Forest) The other sporali do not assist the guardians. You can apparently do NPC hails while invis. You say, 'Hail, Gelnus Fernshade' Gelnus Fernshade says 'I am ready to escape. I'll hurry back to Excrug!' You say, 'Hail, Nightruff Grubcap' Nightruff Grubcap says 'Thank you for rescuing me! I am quite certain Brell Serilis would not approve of these kinfolk taking my heartseed from me!' You say, 'Hail, Orath Torusbloom' Orath Torusbloom says 'We must flee this place at once; the Shrivstems have gone mad!' The three sporali run off. You don't need to follow them. Talk to Excrug Shrivstem 0/1 (Fungal Forest) You say, 'Hail, Excrug Shrivstem' Excrug Shrivstem says 'Thank you for liberating the captives, but I fear Rakkirin may have found other ways of obtaining heartseeds. I have received word that he has sent his scouts to kill Olgar Grubcap and Spornus Cloverfoot, and I fear that they are already dead. Please, find them and prevent Rakkirin's scouts from stealing their heartseeds!' Find Olgar Grubcap's heartseed before teh Shrivstem scouts do 0/1 (Fungal Forest) Find Spornus Cloverfoot's heartseed before the Shrivstem scouts do 0/1 (Fungal Forest) Olgar Grubcap's corpse is found at 63, -900, 256. Spornus Cloverfoot's corpse is found at -468, 39, 145. Kill the scout next to their bodies and loot the 'fresh sporali heartseed' for these updates. Deliver two heartseeds to Excrug Shrivstem 0/2 (Fungal Forest) Excrug Shrivstem says 'This heartseed will not fall into Rakkirin's hands! I swear it!' The other mushrooms do not assist the guardians. I pulled them right through the other mushroom. I was able to do all hails in this mission while invis, even though the mobs in question don't see invis.

I noticed on the find key there are 3 corpses so I think they may be the ones needed. I was OOR so didn't get a trail to follow. good luck
