This quest originally had you turn in the Violet to Guard Hobart. You can still turn it in to him and get some HoT potions

This task is given by Guard Vyrinn.
You say, 'Hail Guard Vyrinn' Guard Vyrinn says 'My mate, Rahtiz and I will hold this position. We need you to explore the tunnels beyond.' She offers you two tasks, one of which is "Spider Tamer Gugan". You have been assigned the task 'Spider Tamer Gugan'. The Gloomingdeep Spider Tamer is able to brew anti-venom from a rare flower that grows in Gloomingdeep. If we had this flower, we may be able to use it to save the lives of our comrades. Reward(s): You gain experience!! Find the Anti-Venom Violet 0/1 (The Mines of Gloomingdeep) Looting the violet from the corpse of Spider Tamer Gugan. Deliver the violets to Xenaida 0/1 (The Mines of Gloomingdeep) After giving the violet to Xenadia: Your task 'Spider Tamer Gugan' has been updated. Vyrinn says "Well done, my friend. I cant seem to figure this out. I killed Gugan and get the violet, but not sure what to do next to make the anti-venom? Xenaida will not take the Violet from me. Anyone run into this or am I just missing something?

You don't make the anti venom. What is the next step in your quest list? Is it possible you already handed her one?
Did you loot the violet before you received the quest? You need to destroy that one. Put the violet on your cursor and click the destroy button on your inventory screen.
If the step still says "Find the anti-venom violet" in white versus green text it means you don't have credit for finding the violet even though it's in your inventory. Some quests allow you to "pre-loot" others need loot credit when the step is active. So if you still need to "find" it then go back and kill him to get it again

If there's a lot of lower levels running around, your best bet is to sit at the spawn point to get your shot at it.
A first taste at a monster that needs to be "camped" :) Just kidding, but does seem to be about 3-5 minute respawn rate.
