Mengryl is located at -2423 +1207 +72 (where the boat landing is and also where the various kill worgs/wereorcs quests are).
You say, 'Hail, Mengryl' Mengryl says 'Hello. I'm sorry if I look preoccupied, but I have lost my [necklace] that my wife gave me.' You say, 'What necklace?' Mengryl says 'That necklace was the last thing I had to remember her by. I wish there was a way for me to get it back but the vampires that have it are far too dangerous for me to battle alone. Would you be willing to [aid] me in retrieving my necklace?' You say, 'I can aid you.' Mengryl says 'Wonderful! The cave is home to many dangerous vampires. Please be careful.' You have been assigned the task 'The Lost Necklace'. Find Mengryl's necklace 0/1 (Loping Plains) The necklace in question is a Rusted Necklace (identifies "A necklace with the name Mengryl inscribed on it"), dropped six at a time by various vampires in the Decaying Caves. Return the necklace to Mengryl 0/1 (Loping Plains) Upon hand-in: Mengryl says, Thank you again for returning my necklace. I don't know what I would of done if I had lost this for good." Rewards: Experience Faction with Fang Breakers If you've completed this task and the three "Rebuilding" tasks (linked on the left), you also get a Pair of Glowing Wereorc Eyes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Ok, for those of you, who are not familiar with the Loping Plains zone, the "Decaying Caverns" in question, are in the mid-upper left-hand area of the zone, near the zone exit to the "Hills of Shade" entrance, but, you have to run along the same path, that takes you to the task giver, just basically keep following it W, and it will head NW then N, so, just keep going along that, and keep your eye along the right-hand mountain/hillside, there is a cavern in there, which is the Decaying Caverns......
need to have done these quests befor you will get the Pair of Glowing Wereorc Eyes as a reward for this quest:
Rebuilding - Wood
Rebuilding - Clay
Rebuilding - Ore
Rebuilding - Wood
Rebuilding - Clay
Rebuilding - Ore
Finished quest although I may very well have completed the dsame quest a year or 2 ago... I got no item in inventory, no lore message about not having duplicate items, nothing but experience and more faction.

Dropped from Vampiric Necromancer in the Dacaying Caverns in LP
This quest results in Pair of Glowing Wereorc Eyes. Which of course is used ultimately in creating the Bloodmoon orc illusion quest.
