This is an event in the Steam Factory Raid Expedition.
(Note: We are missing some information about event mechanics. If you can fill in any holes here, please let us know.)
The Mining behemoth can be found in the mining area in the southern part of the Steam Factory. It is aggro and attackable.
All throughout the mining area are steamworks called "a mine slave". They are attackable, but do not fight back. (What effect, if any, do they have on the Behemoth encounter?)
Mining Behemoth says, 'Intruder!'
The Behemoth hits for a max ~9,000, AE rampages (rarely for full dmg), and enrages (does NOT single-target rampage or flurry).
Throughout the encounter, players in the vicinity of the Behemoth will get hit with an earthquake effect:
The ground shakes violently as the Behemoth pounds on the floor.
This strips levitate spells, interrupts spell casting, and knocks players around (careful with your position, as there is a zone-out nearby).
During the fight, some steamworks named "a _____ crystal carrier" spawn, where the blank can be red, yellow, green, blue, or purple. The crystal carriers are attackable, can be killed, can be mezzed, and are rootable/snareable.
If these carriers make it to the Behemoth, he emotes the following (whichever color the carrier is):
Mining Behemoth . . processing red crystal. . . increasing power to crowd suppression systems. .
Mining Behemoth . . processing yellow crystal. . . increasing drive speed. . .
Mining Behemoth . . processing green crystal. . . activating static discharge. . .
Mining Behemoth . . processing blue crystal. . . increasing power to combat systems. . .
Mining Behemoth . . processing purple crystal. . . activating power cells. . .
Red = ???
Yellow = Increases attack speed
Green = "Static Charge" cast (or increase of its frequency)
Blue = Increases strength, max hit, and max hit rate
Purple = "Power Surge" cast (or increase of its frequency)
Static Charge: PB AE 300', Unresistable (0)
1: Decrease Spell Haste by 75%
2: Decrease Melee Attacks by 75%
3: Decrease HP when cast by 8000
4: Decrease Movement by 90%
Power Surge: PB AE 300', Unresistable (0)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 12000
He also emotes the following (meaning...?):
Mining Behemoth says, 'Unstable red crystals detected, disposal sequences intiated.'
Mining Behemoth says, 'Unstable yellow crystals detected, disposal sequences intiated.'
Mining Behemoth says, 'Unstable green crystals detected, disposal sequences intiated.'
Mining Behemoth says, 'Unstable blue crystals detected, disposal sequences intiated.'
Mining Behemoth says, 'Unstable purple crystals detected, disposal sequences intiated.'
The Mining Behemoth's system overloads from an unstable crystal!
Also a few times during the encounter:
a small voice shouts, 'We must avenge those killed by these intruders! Attack!'
(What does this mean...?)
You may get hit with a persistent effect called "Brownie Cling":
Brownie Cling
1: Decrease Spell Haste by 50%
2: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed
3: Inhibit Melee Attacks by 50%
4: Decrease Movement by 50%
Late into the fight (around 25% or so?), the Behemoth begins spawning blasting charges...
Mining Behemoth says 'Deploying blasting charges. . .'
These can be killed and also mezzed. If left alone, they AE this spell...
Clockwork Explosion: PB AE 50', Fire (-425)
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 15000
Mining Behemoth has been slain by _____!
Mining Behemoth's corpse says 'Critical Damage. Repairs needed.'
The Mining Behemoth drops a Notebook Page for progression purposes (see The Search for the Ultimate Story for details).
