Steam Factory Event: Power Station

This is an event in the Steam Factory Raid Expedition.
It involves Chief Mechanic Clankwrench, who can be found in the far northwestern room of the zone. Be advised that the broken steam machine behind him has a DT aura, so you'd best be avoiding it. Chief Mechanic Clankwrench says 'Steam power shall be your undoing!' Clankwrench hits for a max ~8,500, flurries, AE rampages (full damage, but averages much lower), and enrages. He does not have a single-target rampage. During the encounter, Clankwrench has two emotes: Chief Mechanic Clankwrench shouts, 'Activate absorption panels! We'll take advantage of the energy they're putting into this beating!' The more melee damage you put into him over the next 50 seconds, the larger the AE you will be hit with: Kinetic Blast I: PB AE 150', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 6000 Kinetic Blast II: PB AE 150', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 9000 Kinetic Blast III: PB AE 150', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 12000 Kinetic Blast IV: PB AE 300', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 16000 Kinetic Blast V: PB AE 200', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 20000 -or- Chief Mechanic Clankwrench shouts, 'Activate spell shields! We'll see how they do without their precious magics!' The more spell damage you put into him over the next 50 seconds, the larger the AE you will be hit with: Aether Blast I: PB AE 150', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 6000 Aether Blast II: PB AE 150', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 9000 Aether Blast III: PB AE 150', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 14000 Aether Blast IV: PB AE 200', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 16000 Aether Blast V: PB AE 300', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 20000 There is also a location-based spell to be aware of during the event (and even after it ends). Touch the large fan to the west and you risk being hit by Static Pulse Knockback. Once Clankwrench reaches 70% (and every 10% thereafter)... Chief Mechanic Clankwrench says 'Curse you meddling kids! Suit! Begin repair sequences!' ...And his health locks. Shortly after, one of the modified steamsuits around the room will become active. Chief Mechanic Clankwrench begins to cast a spell (Jump Start) Jump Start: Unknown(44) 10', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 20000 Modified steamsuits hit for a max ~3,200 and cast two spells: Corrosive Acid: Single Target, Magic (-500) 1: Decrease Spell Haste by 50% 2: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed 3: Decrease Hitpoints by 500 per tick 4: Unknown #371 (100/50/0) Steam Jet: Unknown(44) 10', Unresistable (0) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 8000 The modified steamsuit should be kept facing Clankwrench, as the "Steam Jet" spell will cause Clankwrench's health to unlock: a modified steamsuit begins to cast a spell (Steam Jet) The blast from the other steamsuit overloads the repair sequence on Clankwrench's steamsuit, deactivating it. Clankwrench's steamsuit begins moving more slowly as the steam jet interferes with its movements. Take Clankwrench down another 10% and repeat this process until he dies. Chief Mechanic Clankwrench has been slain by _____! Chief Mechanic Clankwrench's corpse says 'Ow, the pain, it burns. . .' Clankwrench drops a Notebook Page for progression purposes (see The Search for the Ultimate Story for details). easy fight, simple strat... dps to 70%, 1st add pops, off tank him near Clankwrench nobody but offtank should hit this 1st add, have offtank turn add to spray Clankwrench every 10% and kill other adds as soon as they spawn, much faster this way and less mana ate up on clerics.
Fun fight, biggest problem is getting the idiots to not dps steamsuits till after the AE goes off.

At 70% he will not lose any more hp. One of the adds will become active. Dps the add but also keep some dps on the cheif. During the fight with the add you will be able to dps the cheif down to 60%. Dont kill the add till you are able to take him down to 60%. He will stop at 60% and another add spawns. Rinse and repeat this process till he's dead. cake.
HP locks every 10% after 70% until you figure out what to do, watch emotes.
