Ok, just did this task, and the handkerchief drops off of the crows/scarecrows/beetles(Mostly the beetles), in the farm field near the campsite(If you keep following the path from the campsite where you get the tasks at, its just over the hillside from the campsite, SSW of the campsite, if you got the maps off of "mapfiend.net", then the lil field is right between the camp, where sigglik and etc is at, and "Bloodbeak", so, its not far.), and the pocket watch dropped off of the clockwork spiders sitting just outside the field area, where the beetles/crows/scarecrows were at(Just south of the big opening, along the south fence area, where it looks as if it should be the entrance to the field, even tho there are many areas to enter/exit, but the path shows as if that is the common entrance/exit.), and dropped 2 out of like 5 kills, so, not hard to get em.......
I got the pocket watch off the live spiders down towards the brownies.
The handkerchief dropped off doombugs to the east of the farm as well as the ones on the farm.

Who know why this item remains? while i have done all combines for the Face aug.

Don't ask me why, but basically, it's just a tool used to make one of the parts, but not itself a part of the end-product. Think of it as a screwdriver or a hammer--you still have them left-over when you're done building whatever it is you're building.

I had looted quest items prior to task quest which was a mistake since they're lore items. I had to destroy them. The 2 items are LOOT UPDATABLE items.

Virtually everything on the farm, bugs, clockwork critters, drop the handkercheif and watch. Also, the farm, bug, and clockwork named usually drop 1 or the other required items, about 90% of the time

This quest doesn't give faction with Ladies of the Light. Just with Ak'Anon Strike Force V.

the quest is called Forgetful Nanzie btw.
There is a field nearby the NPC -- kill the bugs (a doombug scavenger) there. They drop the Handkerchief a LOT.
Just outside the gate are Mech Spiders (a spiderwork scavenger). They drop the Watch, but not so often. They also hit a LOT harder than the bugs and stuff in the field.

Nanzie's Handkerchief dropped off a doombug scavenger loc 3104, -312 (which conned diet blue to me at 78)

So, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the pocket watch comes from the spiders just SW of Falrazim's cave.

I was correct. As somebody else said do NOT underestimate the spiders they are no way as easy as the beetles.
