For those wondering what happens, when Astire emotes: Astire takes note of the burning spells being used against him, any spell of that type cast on him will cause Bite of the Lycanthrope on the caster.

This is the fourth event in the 'Solteris, the Throne of Ro' raid expedition. All event mobs aggro on approach.
Astire, the Lunar Eclipse shouts 'Intruders are attacking the portal! All those loyal to the Master rally to me!' In the building alongside Astire are four Guardians: Guardian of the Fist (orc) Guardian of the Spear (drachnid) Guardian of the Staff (gargoyle) Guardian of the Sword (trueborn) Each Guardian mitigates a melee ability. If killed, the guardian passes this mitigation ability along to Astire. Fist: mitigates hand-to-hand Spear: mitigates piercing Staff: mitigates blunt Sword: mitigates slashing Keeping the Guardians alive has its downsides. They hit for ~5,000, are not mezzable, have a variety of abilities, and also spawn adds throughout the event with their own various abilities: Guardian of the Fist casts "Orc Bash" and spawns deep orc slave adds (mezzable). Orc Bash: Single Target, Magic (0 Corruption) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 1135 (L1) to 1215 (L80) 2: Stun(5.00 sec) Guardian of the Spear casts the usual drachnid spells and spawns drachnid adds (unmezzable). Cloud of Viscous Venom: PB AE 500', Poison (-450) 1: Decrease HP when cast by 2500 2: Decrease Hitpoints by 1000 per tick 3: Increase Poison Counter by 36 Sticky Netting: PB AE 200', Chromatic (-450) 1: Decrease Spell Haste by 35% 2: Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed 3: Decrease Movement by 85% Guardian of the Staff casts the usual gargoyle spells and spawns gargoyle evoker adds (mezzable). Rumbling Roar: PB AE 30', Magic (0) 1: Decrease Mana by 1200 (L1) to 1285 (L85) Spreading Stone: Single Target, Magic (-1000) 1: Increase Curse Counter by 16 2: Illusion: Gargoyle 3: Improved Spell Effect (Spreading Stone Trigger) Stone Death: PB AE 25', Magic (-350) 1: Decrease HP when cast by 750 (L1) to 830 (L80) 2: Decrease Hitpoints by 400 (L1) to 480 (L80) per tick 3: Decrease Mana by 400 (L1) to 480 (L80) per tick 4: Root Guardian of the Sword casts a stun, mez, and AE mana/hp drain and spawns the toughest adds, trueborn healers and death knights (hits ~4,900; unmezzable). In addition, when Guardian of the Sword reaches 50% health, it spawns several "a vampire bat" adds. Bloodlick: Single Target, Disease (-500) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 1500 (L1) to 1580 (L80) 2: Stun(8.00 sec) Dreadful Allure: Single Target, Magic (-500) 1: Mesmerize(1) 2: Memblur(1%) Touch of the Vampire: PB AE 50', (-100) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 2000 2: Decrease Mana by 1000 Bear in mind you will have to contend with a very fierce Astire under the best of circumstances. Killing any more than one or two of the Guardians would likely make the event a lost cause. Astire the Lunar Eclipse hits for a max of ~10,000, flurries, and enrages. Throughout the encounter he casts the spell "Bite of the Lycanthrope" on random targets, with it becoming more and more frequent as his health drops. Players inflicted with this should be corruption-cured as soon as possible. Astire is powered up as long as anyone has this spell effect on them. Bite of the Lycanthrope: Single Target, Unresistable (0) 1: Illusion: Werewolf 2: Stun(6.00 sec) 3: Blindness(1) 4: Silence 5: Decrease Movement by 100% 6: Decrease Attack Speed by 100% 7: Increase corruption counter by 4 Later in the fight, at around 30%, Astire develops an emote-based AE rampage: Astire goes into a berserk frenzy. Upon this emote, he will AE rampage for full damage about every other round. This continues for a short time and ends when you see: Astire regains control of his senses. At some point, Astire begins "taking note" of what types of spells are being used against him, for instance: Astire takes note of the burning spells being used against him. Astire takes note of the magic spells being used against him. This is a warning not to use spells of the given type against him for a period of time (fire-based spells for "burning"; magic-based spells for "magic). Much later in the fight (~15% or so) Astire begins casting the spell "Fog of Night": Fog of Night: PB AE 50', (-50 Corruption) 1: Decrease Spell Haste by 30% 2: Inhibit Melee Attacks by 30% 3: Decrease HP when cast by 6000 4: Decrease Hitpoints by 2000 per tick 5: Increase corruption counter by 4 Astire, the Lunar Eclipse has been slain by _____! Astire, the Lunar Eclipse's corpse says 'Death is no release as I'm sure you'll soon find.' A chest spawns with loot up by the portal. Adds do NOT despawn upon Astire's death. In fact it is possible to wipe out even after Astire is defeated, the chest has spawned, and your lockout timer attained. (What happens in this scenario?)
