This solo task begins with Johnny the Black Crow who is located at about -1665, 3270 on the island of Jardel's Hook in the Buried Sea.
You say, 'Hail, Johnny the Black Crow' Johnny the Black Crow squints at you, and bellows, 'Hail? Hail!? No self-respecting seafaring swashbuckler would give a man quarter that had the guts to utter that word. Out here, when you're speaking to me, a proper greeting starts with a hearty [yarrg]. Can you give me that?' You say, 'Yarrg!' Johnny the Black Crow says 'Har har. That's more like it, _____. I'm liking you already. Now, unless you've got a map of [Redfeather Isle] tattooed to your backside, shove off, swabby. Johnny is a busy man.' You say, 'Redfeather Isle?' Johnny the Black Crow leans in close, 'Aye, and you're pressing my patience and your luck, mate. When one or the other gives out I'll give you an opportunity to kiss the gunner's daughter, personally. If it pains you to know, Redfeather is a small isle off to the southeast, inhabited by strange bird creatures. I sailed out there under cover of nightfall, searching for lost [chests] from a sunken vessel, when I spotted the island. I charted it as best I could by the dim light of the moon, but my map is incomplete without the major [landmarks].' You say, 'What landmarks?' Johnny the Black Crow says 'My map's no good without the landmarks on the island pinpointed. I could see them from the waters but just as ghostly silhouettes. Would need to get much [closer] to pinpoint their exact locations.' You say, 'I'll get closer for you' Johnny the Black Crow says 'Scout out the island and get back to me with the information I need. The bird people aren't quite so fearsome as the Black Crow, but they'll give you a fight if you get too close.' You have been assigned the task 'Charting Redfeather Isle'. Johnny the Black Crow began charting Redfeather Isle but was unable to pinpoint the landmarks on the island, so he has asked you to finish charting the precise locations of the major landmarks for him. Locate the northern "raindrop" islet 0/1 (The Buried Sea) Locate the central "raindrop" islet 0/1 (The Buried Sea) Locate the southern "raindrop" islet 0/1 (The Buried Sea) Locate the entrance to the Aviak city 0/1 (The Buried Sea) Locate the temple dedicated to Karana 0/1 (The Buried Sea) Ascend the staircase of the azure flame 0/1 (The Buried Sea) Locations for the above updates: Northern Raindrop Isle: -3100, +2800 Central Raindrop Isle: -3600, +2800 Southern Raindrop Isle: -3900, +2900 Locate the entrance to the Aviak City: -3800, +820 Locate the Temple dedicated to Karana: -3600, +700 Ascend the staircase of the azure flame: -4200, +1200 Speak to Johnny the Crow (0/1) - The Buried Sea With the information you've supplied, Johnny will be able to work up an accurate map of Redfeather Isle. the easy way to get any quest is just say the last word between [] mark which this quest is you say "closer" .
i 6 boxes and it always works.
hope this help for other boxer or others dont like to go throu all the dialog

Last task update is "Speak to Johnny the Crow 0/1 The Buried Sea"
Got quest at 67 on my druid and completed it
When I said "I'll get closer for you" he ignored that line from my 66 Necro

Oops, it got added to my tasks without asking me
Edit again:
I (67 necro) died from a wandering mob fiorst time I reqested this task. Adn died again at the final hail. Just be very careful, I tried to invis all the time.
This task can only be done once. Two others I do can be done many times, but not this one

Do this mission with the Ahoy! Treasures Washed Ashore (same quest guy), and you can have both done in 20 minutes.

Excellent post and thank you for the information - I found Southern isle to be a bit off from your loc, more like -3900, 2900 ish - not a big deal but worth mentioning if people are having trouble updating =)
